As Hagrid and Harry leave Gringotts, they bump into Horace Slughorn, who recognises Harry and persuades Hagrid to leave Harry to him, so that Hagrid can give the stone to Dumbledore.

I can't remember much else, but Harry is sorted into Slytherin and stays in frequent contact with Slughorn throughout the fic.

It was a preety good read overall, however he isn't anything more with Hermione then canon Harry is to Susan Bones up until GoF. Friendly at most, not actual friends.

I've been searching for it for a while, but I can't find it and I don't remember it's name.

 

Your request sounds pretty interesting -and I hope someone who isn't me knows about this fic- but you should really scale down on your signature. Fortunately, I didn't click on it, but hovering my mouse over the link told me all I needed to know (I already saw the title and read its summary when I tried to search for the OP's fic myself).

 

The premise actually seems interesting. Could see it going several ways, and not just in a cliched Harry-in-Slytherin way.

 

Started reading Nargles' link... then saw Romance: Harry P & Horace S. So stopped. Why would you even think of not posting that in WTF fics?

Also, have to agree, this sounds like an interesting idea.

 

I think he was trying to set a trap? Maybe? His second post, while retarded, seems to point that way.

Thanks iLost, it's not that one but I'm impressed you found one like it in concept. I was fairly sure that he was the only one who used that.

I remember it only being Harry in the title, Slughorn was not put down as secondary character (probably because it would make people think it was slash). It was definatly on Fanfiction.net as well, however I don't knowif it was on any other site or not.

I also remember that Harry did not get along very well with Draco, but he tolerated him enough. I think that I last read it either in late 2009 or early 2010, so I can't remember much more about it.

 

I am not awesome. Well shit. Did some more searching and didn't come up with anything. I guess your only hope is for someone to have actually read it.
