Since HoT2 will never end, and I'm driving in a lightning storm with the top down in that game...

    Rules
    --------------------------------------

[Signups] Due to the complexity of the game, prospective players without any prior Mafia game experience on the DLP forums will be ineligible for application. Furthermore, players with at least two Mafia games under their belts will be given priority over those with less experience. Players who are actually characters in this game will be given another level of priority over those who are not.

Signups will be done with RNG - players with less than two games played will have one number assigned to them in the roll. Players with more games played will have two numbers assigned to them in the roll. Players who are characters in the game will have three numbers assigned to them in the roll.

-The following players will automatically have a spot in DLPhunt should they wish it, for contributing to its creation or supporting it when it was ridiculed: Anya, Ashaya, KaiDASH, Moridin and Seratin.

    [Ettiquette]
Please observe polite and pleasant gameplay.

    • Do not lie about real-life commitments. If you are unable to play for a prolonged period of time or do not wish to continue playing, inform the game host.
    • Similarly, if someone says that they will not be available due to real-life constraints, please accept it and move on.
    • For the avoidance of doubt, this is not a role-playing game. Don't overdo it.
    • Keep non-game-related topics to a minimum in the thread.
    • If you are unable to be active, you will be replaced. Inform the game host if you are.
    • Be nice! We're all playing to have fun. Disparage someone's skill if you must, but please avoid personal insults!

    [Day/Night Phases]
The default Day Phase length is 48 hours, but can be extended if required. Night comes in Two Phases - Phase 1 in which various things happen, and Phase 2 in which more important things happen.

[Asylum] Asylum, or a-fancy-word-for-jail-because-you-know-Lungs-is-teh-fancy, is where criminals go. Who are the criminals? Well, people who the Irene dislike. And the mayor. The mayor can put you here too, at night.

Players put into the Asylum will not be capable of voting or using their powers, unless otherwise stated. Powers triggered by death are not stopped by the Asylum.

[Votes] There are very many votes in this game.

    1. On the first day, there is the Mayor Vote. Players have 24 hours to vote for Mayor.

    • Rescinding is possible but not encouraged.
    • You may not vote Deadline.
The proper format of the votes are Mayor Vote: Player.

    The Mayor

    • Sends the police to arrest someone every two nights and place them in the asylum
    • Has an extra life
    2. Every day starting from Day 1, there will be a Lynch Vote.

    • This is a majority vote during the day.
    • Results in the death of the player voted on.
    • There is no role reveal on death.
    • You may have deadline votes.
    • You may rescind your votes.
The proper format of the votes are Lynch Vote: Player, Deadline Lynch Vote: Player, Rescind Lynch Vote, and Rescind Deadline Lynch Vote.

    3. In addition to the Mayor Vote and Lynch Votes, there will also be an Asylum Vote. There are three possible votes

    - the Kill Vote

    • This is a majority vote during the day.
    • This is weighed against Free Votes and Incarceration Votes.
    • Results in the death of the player voted on.
    • The player voted on will be Role Revealed on Death.
    • You may not have Deadline Votes.
    • You may not Rescind your votes.
    • Counts towards mislynch counters of various players.
    - the Free Vote

    • This is a majority vote during the day.
    • This is weighed against Free Votes and Incarceration Votes.
    • Results in the freedom of the player voted on.
    • You may not have Deadline Votes.
    • You may not Rescind your votes.
    - the Incarceration vote.

    • This is a majority vote during the day.
    • This is weighed against Free Votes and Incarceration Votes.
    • Results in the continued Incarceration of the player voted on. The next day, the player will be freed.
    • You may not have Deadline Votes.
    • You may not Rescind your votes.
The proper format of the votes are Asylum Kill: Player, Asylum Free: Player, Asylum Incarcerate: Player.

Note that votes that are not cast in the correct syntax will be ignored.

[Population] The Population of a faction denotes its voting power. A major aim of the Mafia/Warlock factions is to manipulate the game state so that their members comprise the majority of the total population. Population at the start of the game is as follows:

    Regulars:14 | Hermonies:3 | Ex-Mods:2 | The King:1

[Regulars] The Regulars are equivalent to the town in normal games of mafia. Their aim is to root out the Hermonies, Ex-Mods and The King and lynch them. In this game, playing as a Regular will not be a breeze by any means - everyone has a role that encourages lots of thinking!

    Difficulty: High

[Hermonies] The Hermonies are equivalent to the witches in Witch Hunts. Their aim is to outnumber the Regulars in vote count - they have two mechanisms that will help them do this, the Night Kill and Taure Creation. Every night, they are capable of both. Their players consist of the Ashaya, the Palindrome, and the Vira.

    Difficulty: Medium

[Ex-Mods] The Vesvius and his SmileOftheKill are the equivalent of the Warlock and Thrall from Warlock Hunt. They have the toughest road in this game, but if they play well, they will become a neigh-unstoppable force near the end.

    Difficulty: Very High

[The King] The Jon is the equivalent of the Arsonist in other games. He has one of the more difficult roads - to control the minds of two-thirds of the populace (or to kill everyone), but he has multiple mechanics to help him along the way - such as one protection piercing kill.

    Difficulty: High

    [Activity Requirement]
    • If you are unable to be active, you will be replaced. Let the game host know in advance if you have some reason to be inactive (so allowances can be made).
Activity is defined as the following:
    - At least 2 posts in the game thread per 24 hours spent in the day phase. A post that is primarily a Vote does not count.
Examples of posts that would not be counted towards the activity requirement: one two three

Examples of posts that would be counted: three two one

I would gladly see who I randomly end up transforming into for the course of the game.

Also, seven or eight or more games, off the top of my head.

There are still 6 player slots.

There are two days to fill them. If I have exactly 20 players, there will be no RNG rolling. If there are less, we'll wait longer. If there are more, we'll roll the har- RNG. Yeah.

Sacrifice, Reserves is by order of signup, so I have you down as the first reserve ;P
