Written and posted on a whim, inspired from a line in iRC, as some of the concepts on there never are repeated on the forum, and are never heard from again.

The concept is simple; two or more authors agree to do an exchange of fiction.

For example:

Participant A wants Participant B to write, say, a stalker Fleur story, whilst Participant B wants Participant A to write, say, a memory charm rapist Rosmerta.

They hammer out the details of what the other specifically wants, the 'deal', so to speak.

The two then write, but only exchange chapter by chapter when the other participant has completed his/her side of the deal, e.g. Participant A withholding Chapter 1 until Participant B is ready with his own Chapter 1.

This is to basically, and forcibly, motivate each Participant into doing his/her end.

You want your story? Well, great! Your partner wants his, too.

This would also be a great writing exercise opportunity for each Participant.

So, any takers?

yeah, maybe we should have a group for it, as long as it doesn't descend into smut for two months we're cool.

This will be a good way to do things that have to be done but haven't.

Isn't Rosemerta supposed to be buxom and attractive? Why would she need to memory charm people? Or did you mean the other way around? People rape her then charm her? I'm not sure what the hook is if it isn't smut....

 

It was a random example of an unusual (and rare, if not ever seen) characterization, the same with a Stalker!Fleur or, as another example, a sociopathic Katie Bell/Lavender Brown.

That (unusual and unexpected characterizations) would also be one of the aims of the project, I guess, if each Participant in a 'deal' wants to do that.

To clarify my example;

She (Rosmerta) would be popular partly due to the lingering side-effects of the Imperius/Memory Charms she's performed on her...'partners'.

Others who she hadn't...uh, had encounters with, would just go along with the crowd, like most people do socially. After all, who would suspect sweet, innocent Rosmerta of being...well, that?

Character-driven drama and horror, with the sexual component blended tastfully into it as a part of the plot - no, not "smut", nor any sex scenes just for the sake of the author/reader getting their rocks off on the mental images.
