Hmm, are his ganks good though? I haven't used him (cost too much), but against the few Hecarim junglers so far, his ganks are kind of bad unless he manages to come behind you (in which case, it's almost a guarantee kill, but that's the same with almost any jungler). It's just that his cc is a knockback, so most of the time it just kind of helps enemy escape if anything.

 

Well, he has four seconds of an escalating speed boost to setup that knockback, and in a pinch, can use his Ult(provided the enemy doesn't Flash in time) to both force himself behind the enemy, and to mildly fear the enemy away in the direction of his choosing(which can also handily setup his knockback as well).

All said, I find him to be reasonably effective, and unlike some Junglers(Warwick for example), doesn't really need his Ultimate to really start ganking lanes effectively. So far, I've tried Tanky+Wriggles/Trinity, and an AD build to relative success. I haven't seen how effective a Tanky-AP build is yet on him, but I suppose I could try it in a bit.

Yes, that Sona deserves the shit I gave her from the very start. No flash on a zero escape support, no wards purchased instantly to counteract that problem, and no method to protect the carry without any build-in escapes at all. This is all from the first minute of the game, where she shows she's too retarded already. Not to mention her actually missing her ultis or wasting it on one enemy, usually Alistar, the majority of the time.

You didn't even have your one ward in a good location, much less the two that are practically mandatory when you're purple side bot. I pinged to tell you to get ready and told you what I wanted to do. Several DLPers have bitched multiple times now that, even with voice chat giving them a 5s warning, they don't get enough time to prepare shit. I gave you 10s+to prepare for my gank, and you herp and derp your ulti away BEFORE I can even get in range to make sure Nidalee dies. Am I supposed to assume that you're too stupid to wait for me to get within range, which would take me all of 2-3s to evade her traps + wards, and guarantee a kill?

Zilean is HIGH. He deserves ALL the shit aimed at him, no exceptions. Bot lane did bad because both or them failed numerous ultis from less than one screen away and neither of them warded bushes when they were pushed the fuck up or actually aid in ganks besides adding small amounts of damage that I already outpaced the hell out of.

So I like AP blitzcrank. With 2 1:1 AP ratios, his burst is pretty great. Level 7 burst is 500+2.0 AP along with punch and rocket punch so another ~150. Toss in ignite, and it's actually substantial damage. His innate tankiness help him out laning mid, and his ult has a 30 second cd base so you can clear out waves with it pretty often.

Nothing for a serious game, but if you are feeling good about hooks that day, he's a ton'o'fun.

 

When I first started playing. I was pretty damned good at Blitz. But it seems like as my skill level in general rose, my skill level with him has fallen. Every time I try I super!derp it up.

Use their fear of hooks to your advantage. Make a big show of coming forward, so they are preoccupied with dodging the incoming hook, then punch the creep and walk away.

 

This. As long as you land one seriously good hook, the average player will be leaping out of your way the rest of the game. Playing a bully Blitz is hilarious fun. And, of course, if they don't respect your authoritah, you pull/punch combo them, and whoever you're laning with bursts them, and they're either dead or running.

You want a really hilarious bot? Go Alistair, take a mana manipulator (build into a soul shroud for beefiness and supporting your carry), so you can spam your W, then spend all early game batting them around like a pinball whenever they come in range. When roaming phase comes, they'll either run at first sight of you or tunnel-vision you out of pure rage. Either way, you win. More importantly, I maintain that headbutting an ad carry all over bot is one of the purest joys one can derive from this game. You won't do much damage, but holy God will you be spreading the CC love around, and I was still laughing literally the seventh time I knocked this Vayne back into her own tower for no reason other than to fuck with her.

So yeah. There are definitely ways to troll without making your team lose. What's that Vayne? You wanted that last hit? Because I don't think you can get it from all the way over there!:awesome

 

As someone who plays a lot of AD bot, I can confirm that random headbutts are extremely fucking annoying. Especially if it doesn't achieve anything. The annoyance only goes up.

 

He's played with Middy and I before, however while I cant and wont speak for Middy I'm not going to again. I don't think I'm good by any stretch and I do try to improve but bottom line is that this is just a game I play to unwind and have fun with and anyone who takes it that seriously is no one I want to play with.

So I literally just downloaded LoL yesterday as something to do over the summer when I've finished with my exams in a couple of weeks whilst job hunting at the same time.

Played a couple of practise games against the Bots purely to get used to how the game plays, and I think I've sort of gotten there. Admittedly I only just got level 3 last night due to server issues over here but I think I'm getting there.

I kinda like the look of Ryze & Twisted Fate as heroes thus far, probably going to invest in one if not both of them later on. I'm not exactly looking for high ratings just a fun game to chill out with here & there & wondered what kind of advice you guys have. I've honestly not read through the past 80 odd pages which might be a mistake...

But, yeah, any advice for me? I've looked at a couple of AP/AD guides for TF but that's about it, yet to step into a game with any other human player out of pure fear.

 

Starting with a ranged is good but starting with Fate is not going to end well at all, he is extremely difficult to play well. I'm not saying don't ever play him but he is a horrible character to start on. Ryze however is an excellent choice for beginners.

 

Yeah, I've read that he's not the easiest character to play but I figured I'd pick him up anyway as he's stupidly cheap at something like 500RP. Still, I've yet to read up on RYze so I think I'll do that shortly & see if I can get a custom game with only bots... or brave the land of Co-op vs AI.

 

If you are going to buy with RP you should buy one of the bundles probably, and then buy the cheap characters not in there with IP, don't ever waste RP on single characters that cost less than 3100 IP, I myself would never consider buying any char cheaper than 6300 IP with RP...

 

I mean its your personal choice but I would never spend that much RP on him, just play some matches and use your winnings from those to get him. There are assloads of better champions to buy with RP. I personally am waiting for Varus, who is going to be released next week I believe.

I'm kinda disappointed in Hecarim. He's a fun jungler, but only mildly effective at best. Almost no damage at all.

Well I ended up buying him with IP instead as it was only 1350 I think...? Not too much more either way, still not bought any RP as I keep getting time-out's which is odd but I'll try again later on. That said, whilst it's on my mind is there a way to get RP outside of buying them? Don't want to spend a fortune only to find out you can get them through slower methods.

Also, bundles? The only bundles I've seen whilst browsing have been things like skin bundles or one champion with several skins included, though maybe I'm just looking in all the wrong places.
