Anyone done hc stuff yet? Just started a run with my friends today and I like how gear counts more and it really is more intense.

 

Probably only go to hardcore when I've exhausted softcore. Definitely won't go with the level of D/C's I've been experiencing lately.

 

I'm glad you're all having fun, but it's seriously driving me fucking insane to read so many of you being unable to play SINGLE PLAYER because their online server's are shit. Not to mention all the issues with stable servers when this thing's been in testing fucking forever now. Blizzard I am disappoint.

As for it being too easy... they're porting it to consoles, can't have it be difficult and port it to consoles guys, c'mon.

Normal will always be easy, it opens up the market for them.

 

You have no idea how stupidly easy it is for me right now as a Wizard using Diamond skin + Electrocute + Disintegrate with 250 Damage ad 1.4k HP at lvl 25.

I use skin for an extra 800 HP and for a Arcane cost reduction, Disintegrate mobs in 2s flat, and Electrocute to reload Arcane with the passive.

Then I repeat until dead, with occasional hydras, frost novas, and Slow Times.

Clean and Skykes were in the game, and I melted several huge mob swarms before they could even joy in on the fights.

 

Honestly, you can't say it is too easy until you are in inferno farming legendary items. In my opinion you are beyond amazing if you pass nightmare HC.

I just passed normal with a monk, died like 4 times. For many the real game will start when they pass the game on softcore Inferno and start selling level 60 items for real cash. Does anyone know if everyone has the same items once they open arena? I'm guessing it should be what you farmed...

 

No it was that easy for him. But thats because he went and grouped with high lvl players and got a shitload of OP gear, because you know, normal mode wasnt easy enough already. Although I agree with what you are saying people need to stop complaining until they are at high lvl play.

I used to think the exact same thing. I had no use for many of the skills as I was leveling but now that I have started grouping Ive found uses for skills that were clearly not meant for solo play.

 

Dude, all the OP gear I had stocked from raiding a friend's Diablo run is for Str. My wizard is all off my own crafted gears, and it's still OP as fuck.

40 DPS on Wand. +43 Int, +27 Vit, and 5-7 damage on Off-hand orb. +3-6 damage Rings. And like every single piece of gear totaling together to give me 260+ Int at lvl 25. Except for the damn wrist bracers, which gives me +27 Vit instead to laugh off damage.

 

I bought the digital copy, installed it, clicked play, and was told my video card wasn't supported... Fuck. I remember why I hate gaming on computers. Any suggestions on a cheap desktop that I could pick up quick.

 

Normal's easy, shocking.

Play melee on Nightmare/Hell difficulty. It's much more difficult. The mobs definitely take a jump in skill required to handle them. Means much more kiting, pot'ing and generally keeping yourself alive.

Same goes for Hardcore and melee right now. Act 3 in Normal is randomly painful and offers chance on gib deaths because random explosions.

And the reason Mage is OP is because Mage is OP at the moment. They're also glass cannons if they get cornered at all without their offensive skills running.

As an aside, I've had zero issues with disconnects when I try to play. But some of my friends haven't been able to play at all. It's hit or miss with some people right now I guess.


Oh and Method (a WoW guild, for those of you who pay attention) has currently cleared through Skeleton King in Inferno (EDIT: Sorry, the Butcher now). But they've hit a wall there. And they're about the only ones thus far who have pushed so much. Normal should be a joke for anyone decent at video games, it's meant for people who aren't good at video games to have a chance. You'll all enjoy Nightmare and Hell much more.

 

Try it out in multiplayer.
Two people tear through shit but three people can actually have difficulty. You still tear through shit but one hit was 90% of my HP on my DH. This was on normal. I only just finished normal (~level 33 after the first few quests of nightmare) but this could easily destroy anyone who is new to the genre.
Yea, it's easy. You've done 500,000 baalz ballz runs over a hundred different characters and specs to practice. Without that diablo/d2 experience, this could be extremely difficult.
I have the worst luck with crafting gear. I melt everything and I have gone broke trying to craft myself decent rare shoulders. 12 shoulders later and still nothing. One time I crafted a piece with no primary stats on it. Just +gold pickup range, +health from orbs, +gold from monsters, and thorns. ಠ_ಠ

Also, I'm hitting just under 500 damage and 2.3k HP now as a lvl 28 Mage. Diamond skin steroids me 3k HP a pop. OP bitch is OP.

 

Damn, a server update just as I was getting into the Silver Spire. Now I have to wait an hour before the final boss. I have more rage towards the server problems now than ever before.

 

Yeah, we've been duo'ing in about four sets of two in our main group of guys running it. It seems to work better. Which has offset shitty bs'ing luck for everyone below us but not me or the mage with me. I had similar luck except with the 20s bs'ing gloves. I made 15 and only got a base 15 str pair finally from it. Got about 8 +40 - +50 dex ones though. That kind of RNG blows. Really hope something is done about it.

Barb call of the ancients also saved our skins numerous times when it got hairy. Those distractions are powerful and have pretty good AI.

 

I've heard some groups are rushing through inferno by using a ressing exploit to down bosses.

They just continue to res each other while one guy's only goal is to stay alive with defensive skills.

It's actually to be expected that some people would find something to exploit the system.

I think my barbarian is bugged or something. I can't play more than 20 mins without getting D/Ced. Made a DH, and logged 30 mins without a problem.

 

Hardly a new tactic lol. That's pretty much the only way to beat the Hell Unleashed mod because bosses health resets after 30 seconds of no hits

Exploits in a Diablo game. I am shocked, truly shocked. I recall reading an article about some Blizzard developer actively writing dupes into the code with each patch to cash in on people paying gold for items.

 

Method is posting videos of their kills. Their skeleton king fight was eight minutes and didn't involve that. Most legitimate contenders for world firsts won't need to bother with that strat.

 

And did they get to the boss by killing mobs, or running through and ressing each other through all content? At the end of the butcher video they say "You want to farm gear, or you want to bash your head against the boss?" Makes me believe they rushed through mobs.

I believe that was another complaint with the ressing. People haven't been killing any of the monsters except for what they had to, they'd just rush through with resses.

That butcher kill was pretty nice, but they died a lot, and I doubt they'd have gotten those resses off during mob kills, which are actually harder than bosses.

Personally? It annoys me, but it doesn't really effect me.
