Any recommendations for iOS/iPad games? I picked up Infinity Blade 2 and Plague Inc.

Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition for iPad will be out in September for $9.99.

I've played the first chapter of Telltale Games' Hector: Badge of Carnage on iPad. That was pretty good. It's a free download.

The iPod version of Bejewelled scales up okay-ish on an iPad. I put it on my mum's iPad and she's never forgiven me. She can't stop playing it. :p

The usual freemium, casual gaming fare, such as Temple Run and Jetpack Joyride works quite well. They're not fantastic games, but they're decent ways to chew up 10 minutes of time. And sometimes those 10 minutes become 45.

I haven't delved into the world of paid games on the iPad, so I'm not sure how good they are as games. I'd be looking at Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP, RAGE, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars HD, Infinity Blade 2, and Dungeon Hunter 2 HD.

That's some cruel shit right there, though I'm glad that it keeps the real and actually good Civ series from the apple scum, because Glorious PC Gaming Master Race.

(Honestly though-- Y'all get one civ game, and y'all get by far the worst of the modern games? That really blows. Hell, I'd take the Colonization remake over Revolutions /any day/.)

The Asphalt series is really good. The latest version amazingly so.

Temple Run is a fun game.

I had Assassins Creed on my old iPhone- pretty short, but it's enjoyable.

Fifa 12 was really good aswell.

I could have sworn Civ 4 used to be on the app store, but I couldn't find it.

Galaxy On Fire 2 is a great game for about 5 bucks if you just want the iPad version (skip the HD version, 5 bucks more for prettier visuals). It's a space-game in the same vein as Freelancer.

I don't think you can do that on Apple devices. Well, not unless you jailbreak anyway.

It's a really well made app, though, IMO. I've definitely gotten 10 dollars worth of gaming out of it, but I play a lot with my friends while we board game (Carcassonne on the phone while we play a different board game IRL, for the moments in between).

I've only ever played it on my sister's iPad so I dunno if I'll get 10 bucks worth. One of these days though (which is still coming since the last 5 years), I'll jailbreak to get free paid apps...I mostly game in b/w flights/travelling so not too much anyways.

OP: Also, I'm not a big fan of Angry Birds in general but Angry Birds Space is freaking awesome.
