It has been absolutely clear from the beginning of Shippuuden that this series is not going to be Logical. This series will NOT satisfy every wish that every Naruto fan had. This series will be slightly less than average as far as Quality is concerned.

Its one thing to discuss plot points and what could've been done...Quite another to simply keep going "Oh Noes, Kishimoto did it again"

OT: What was a noteworthy for me this chapter was that intense light was able to blind Sharingan eyes and the most advanced uberfucks Sharingan at that.

@Trooper. No, we bitch because the beginning of the Manga had so much promise. Even the very beginning of shippuden wasn't so terrible. We bitch because we can see all the ways the Manga could have been made even just acceptably better.. but instead Kishimoto (who has admitted to being an Uchiha Fanboy) goes further off the rails with almost every chapter of Uchiha Deification.

Besides, it is the prerogative of any fan to criticize the direction a Manga goes in. I don't know if you were an Anime fan back in the day. But despite the fact that NGE is called one of the greatest Anime of All Time, when the end of the series rolled around, the crowd and fandom erupted in protest and anger. Because, as is fairly common in Anime. Shit got weird and went off the rails for no discernible, valid, reason.

Uchiha having more potential than most other ninja makes perfect sense. They're the direct descendants of one the most powerful figures in history, have an overpowering advanced bloodline, and historically have been stronger than most ninja clans. It's not like strong ninja can't fight an Uchiha The kage, jinchuriki, and Akatsuki have clearly shown that they can fight on the same level. Madara is not some random Uchiha. Neither is Tobi, Sasuke, or Itachi.

 

So much crying over the Uchiha, yet only when it's Sasuke getting cheap powerups from the Sharingan. Yet when it's Itachi, everyone's opinion changes. it's okay for Itachi to be badass and have the cheap as fuck Susanoo and stuff. But as soon as Sasuke has it, it's cheap and shit.

Stop fucking whinging. I'm sick of it. All I hear it blah blah whinge whinge. We all know by now that you think Kishimoto fucked up the quality of Naruto compared to its potential. It's been said a million times. Nuff said.

I also agree, I was surprised about the Sarutobi clan being so large and also having an affinity for fire too. Also lol'ed at Madara and Obito just not caring what they do at all. Obito does seem to be getting worried about Naruto though. Naruto was fucking him up a fair amount whenever they did a combination attack on him.

 

The problem with sasuke is that he has thrown the whole chidori collection that he used to operate by in the trash, he barely even uses it now. After the first Kirin, the technique that made Sasuke shine, he was badass, and I liked the fact that he could almost match Itachi in skill. Him deciding to destroy leaf was fine although only the elders were at fault. The problems started directly after the fight with killer bee. Not going to go for ranting.
Also you're right I should not have ranted off, it was morning and I was extremely upset, not about how Kishi fucked up Naruto, I was instead ranting about how there were and still are so many things that could save it, but every chapter Kishi narrows down the list.

Because Itachi is a boss and Sasuke is a bitch. Seems simple enough to me? Anyway, most Western readers despise the rival and don't want to see him portrayed as being superior to the MC. Which Sasuke really isn't right now regardless, Naruto would probably curbstomp him in a fight at this exact moment.

Honestly I find Madara and Obito to be a shitton more annoying than Sasuke ever was though.

 

I was actually a bit of a fan of Tobi back when he was still the mysterious puppet-master type whose end game we didn't know and who seemed to hold all the cards and be a very tactful and somewhat charismatic fellow. I was especially intrigued by what seemed to be his dismay that Madara was brought back into the picture through Edo Tensei. The second the mask came off though the whole persona went to shit.

I know that angst is a big thing among the villains in the manga (and the protagonists, too), but this bullshit about him seeing his girlfriend die and then suddenly wanting to kill every single person in his life who gave a damn about him is just too much. When he told Naruto that he could be Hokage in the Infinite Tsukuyomi, I badly wanted Naruto to reply, "No, asshole. I'll be dead, remember?"

He's like that shitty character from the Matrix who wanted to get put back in the dream with his memories wiped. How the hell can you respect a character like that? At least in that movie he only had about a minute of villainhood before he was unceremoniously killed and taken out of the picture. We're stuck with shitty Obito for who knows how long kissing Madara's ass.

 

I hate Tobi=Obito, but I have been fearing that every since they said Madara wasn't Tobi. Although I would have hated my second thought as well, but Tobirama would have been hilarious as another possible person.

I actually assume Tobi and Madara are going to be dealt with some what soon, with the next arc focusing on the prissy avenger.

Also I actually like Cypher, he seemed a reasonable type of character. Not someone to respect, but someone that had a good plan for what he wants. Not everyone should have lofty goals.

 

I don't know how people sympathise with people like that. He willingly chose ignorance like he was a pussy.
Unlike Obito who is designed to be sympathised with (why else would we get 4 chapters of character dev) Cypher was always designed to be a piece of shit that everyone hates. Obito manages to do so anyway, I don't know if to cheer for him or not

 

I didn't like Cypher at all, but as a character he made sense. I appreciated his involvement from a storytelling perspective. Obito, not so much. His motives are stupid and don't make sense, whereas Cypher's, while cowardly, are understandable.

 

This exactly. Also I don't care about being a robot battery, in fact I think it is awesome. If they make a world so real, that I can't tell, why should I care?

I feel so sad that it has honestly been so long since I've seen anything matrix related that i had to spend half an hour trying to discern what the hell anyone named Cypher had to do with Naruto.

Also, Cypher wasn't introduced as one of the more admirable characters of his movie/franchise like Obito was.

I really find it hard to believe that Obito, after seeing his love interest die, becomes the trashiest of trash (the one thing he hated) and attacked his teacher to kill his wife at childbirth and try to kill his newborn son.

Sure, there is this "traitors have to be admired people" and all that to really have the effect the author wants but still, this 180 is still hard for me to believe, especially for a ninja who grew up in wartime. That's one hell of a transformation for a character who despised people who let their comrades die for the sake of the mission. And not a believable one.

 

You have to remember that he spent a lot of time with Madara and Zetsu. Presumably, when he wasn't out there being Tobi and puppet-mastering everything, he was back with old!Madara and Zetsu.

Now, I'm not making excuses for Obito, I'm just saying that spending that much time with a man who is/was the Uchiha would tend to warp his views a bit.

Either that or he's got the worst case of Stockholm Syndrome ever.
