On EUW I think there's maybe 3 of us? I just decided to try ranked as I'm home from Uni & my net is considerably better & more stable here so I fel like playing ranked isn't as much of a concern because I won't randomly dc or freeze up during select/the game.

Another loss clocked up as Malph loses to Riven & our mid player locks in Fiddle, feeds Lux & has less than 50 cs by the time we /ff. I love this game.

Edit; Final placement then bed as I should probably spend my time sleeping rather than getting more & more frustrated. Also need to buy a replacement headset.. Something else to get on with tomorrow. Username's relddiR ehT.

 

Another good rule of thumb is to just quit after first loss in ranked and chill for abuot 3-4 hours. Prevent frustration so better play on try.

 

I'm pretty relaxed now, probably because I got Amumu jungle. Still didn't stop my team sucking a bag of dicks - Didn't ban Blitz, Eve mid walked into every hook she could, Caitlyn didn't breach 100 CS in a 30 minute game (this seems to be a common factor for lanes...) & Irelia, whilst she took down top tier 2, just kept getting caught alone.

Couldn't carry even going full blown Azingy style finishing 6-3-5. Just feel kinda depressed really, reported so many people for being unskilled but it doesn't matter anyway. Oh well. There's always tomorrow, well, technically later today. Fresh start, can't be bothered playing bots for my IP because I fear how badly that'll go.

I'm so annoyed about the auto attack bug, where even blinking at the screen will cancel the attack. Kiting is so hard now; I'm not used to the new feel. Does anyone know when Riot will fix this?

Maybe you got used to it. I double checked with my ad carry main friends. They're bitching about it too. Makes playing Vayne really hard, since she's all about auto'ing and kiting.

 

So I've just been sick of this patch in general, all of my champions didn't benefit much from it and really stupid strategies that I don't enjoy have arisen from it. I realize that the "meta game" had stagnated pretty hard, but the changes in this patch are too many and too drastic, and I can't say I'm a fan.

Tried out some 3v3s and just have to say a few things.

1. Don't use normal 3s to practice for ranked 3s. There is no draft mode, so #1 you can't practice your counterpicking and #2 your opponents are going to be faggots running darius/garen/darius. Yes, huge fucking faggots running the double darius comp.

2. The new twisted treeline lacks the same stupid imbalance the old one had to an extent. Casters can make a killing in the new TT with the aid of proper items. The removal of wards makes the hextechsweeper a MUST BUY imo.

The scouting the item gives is amazing, and the stats are great as well. The kicker on this point is that the item also gives movespeed. The wraith-necklace thing is not nearly as good. The long CD makes it pretty inferior to the sweeper already, and the stats aren't that great. Rarely will MR be your concern, but if it is, the item is pretty good in conjunction with the sweeper and wooglets. I still think there's an issue with the game mode in general where casters need something as blatantly imba as Wooglet's just to be on a somewhat even footing.

Long range casters have it best. Xerath actually was destroying us in the early game in a 1v2 lane because of how easily he could harass and farm at a major distance. We still won because I was playing gragas in a 1v1 and the scouting I had from sweeper/wraithcharm combined with gragas' natural defense and mobility turned a couple of their ganks into really, really, really poor engages for them. On top of that, my damage was higher because I farmed way better while they were jacking off in the woods waiting for ganks.

3. Vilemaw is retarded. The buff is stupid. Beyond stupid. Health/mana regen is nearly pointless, and the attack speed/cdr is not worth it. Doing vilemaw is the greatest risk you can take. He RIPS through teams and he rips through them quickly. The global gold is a dick in the eye. 194g is nothing, especially when you consider that by even attempting vilemaw, you are very likely giving up an altar, which is worth 80g to the enemy team. That's a larger core to the issue. The altars are too good in comparison to vilemaw. Maintaining both altars is a huge boost at 10%AP/AD, kind of similar to the baron buff as far as teamfighting potential goes. The AS/CDR doesn't even compare unless you're running something really dependent on lots of autos. Vilemaw needs major review or removal. I really, really wish that Grez and Ebonmaw remained, because the jungle as is just doesn't seem nearly as rewarding as getting the buffs present in the old TT.

4. Fuck Teemo.

So, Vi's gonna be up later this week as her spotlight's up, also no sale, kinda interesting.

Haven't played Vi, only watched her spotlight & read up about her but she seems, well, slightly OP given her kit and combo but she seems rather squishy, I didn't notice any defensive steroid of buff outside of her passive aka 'build more health' so, huh.

Also kinda want to know what Riot plan on doing to Sejuani as they were asking for feedback on her a couple of days ago, always interested me as a champion but I've always missed her whenever she's free, and on top of that there's the fear of playing a champion who gets beat up by both the jungle and champions very early on, almost like Nautilus' squishiness.

Edit; Finished my ranked games. Starting out at 1134... After the +43 bonus for my technical first ranked win. Feeling happy about it even though I went 4:6 in terms of wins/losses but, lots of room for improvement.

 

Morgana wrecks faces at Low Elo. She and Gragas are the only reason I'm not sub 800 elo. So many people forget to ban her.

Maybe if I'm lucky those two can carry me out of this Elo Hell. It's gonna depend a fair amount on luck though.

 

Riot admit to having over-nerfed Diana and will buff her next patch, same with Rengar though from the sounds of things they're tearing him apart and rebuilding him to a degree as he simply has too good a kit.

 

The post I read didn't make it sound like that, it made it seem more like they just attacked the parts of the kit that were fine instead of addressing the problem. After they had picked apart every part of his kit besides the problem, they nerfed the problem and the result was a useless character.

It's the same thing with Diana, except they haven't gotten to fixing the problem and they've already broken her.

With Rengar, it seemed to me that they were just going to scale his damage back up and fix his ult and leave it at that, since without his 15% heal W, he will play more like the hunter assassin and not like the tankiest mother fucker in game.

 

They could also, (bear with me here) make his roar have a changing effect based on the level. At level 1 it heals (it's an immense help in the jungle, since it effectively gives you some added sustain to stay in jungle longer/gank more) and from there the heal is diminished up until level 3, where the heal hits a floor of 5%. After that, leveling it removes the heal, but gives the player the armor and magic resist bonus. At level 5, half the bonus extends to their party for the duration, and it has a chance to cause a fear effect when a minion/monster/player is hit.

 

I think with Rengar they just need to change his heal from % based to something else so people don't just build health, use W and laugh in your face even with early trades. Maybe lower the defensive boost when it hits an enemy champion, not really sure as I've played all of 2 games with Rengar and less than that against one in lane.

As for Diana, all they had to do was nerf her shield, outside that she was fine. The fact her shield scaled with AP (with a good ratio), did pretty good damage and reset easily because of how it works was just too much. Should've lowered the AP ratio and maybe nerfed the shield amount ever so slightly rather than just pulling the trigger and hitting her everywhere.

Legacy skin sale's live, thankfully I'm not a huge skin person. Bought Pharaoh Amumu, only really want the TF skin too but it's a lot of RP to spend on a champion I frankly don't get chance to play for a number of reasons, least of all being my rather lacking mid lane skill.
