I honestly have no clue what started this, but I'm pretty sure that this is malware or some shit. These sites keep popping up that have different names but are the exact page. One of them is best2me.info/ , if any of the other ones come up I'll put them up. In the tab the name is Best & Top PTC Web Sites.

Anyways, they'll come up with the same...link clicking noise, like a double click. And sometimes the sound will happen but nothing shows up. And they'll take over the entire monitor when they do show up, like when you press F11. In fact, barring using the Task Manager to get rid of Firefox entirely, using F11 to resize the screen is the only way to click it away. And they only happen when Firefox is idling, when I'm not using it is when it happens. If I'm playing a game and I have Firefox in the background I can hear the double click noise sometimes.

The reason I've gone here is because I can't seem to find the damn thing. I've run Spybot, Malwarebytes, and my anti-virus avast and nothing has shown up. If anyone knows what can be done I would appreciate it.

    hit20.com is another one.

First thing that comes to mind is running those in Safe Mode. That caught something for me one time that I couldn't seem to get otherwise.

If that doesn't work I'd just end up googling (which you've no doubt done) or asking on a forum (which you're doing now).

Have you checked your add-ons/scripts? I had a problem with random words that were hyperlinked ads due to an add-on I'd installed. Got rid of the add-on, got rid of the problem. Disable yours one at a time and see what happens.

    Use this:

    http://www.malwarebytes.org/

There are lots of fake "malware detectors" out there which are actually malware themselves. This one is the real deal.

Edit: you already have. Well, I'm stumped. You might have to format and reinstall windows.

Try Kaspersky's Rescue Disk or a similar rescue disk, you should load it on a USB stick and use it to boot your PC. You can update the database after you have booted up.

Had a computer problem just this week, I ran five virus checks (Kingsoft, Avira, Malwarebytes, Spybot, Clamav), all of them negative. Running Kaspersky was the magic touch, it found 5 instances of last year's Java exploits and a couple of trojans.

If that doesn't help, then save your bookmarks and uninstall firefox (be sure to also delete all folders associated with it - there's one in C:\ProgramData, one in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming and one in C:\Users\username\AppData\Local if I'm not mistaken).

After that reinstall firefox, add your bookmarks and any addons you need and look if the sites still open themselves. If yes it's probably malware.

If you're willing to wait a bit, you can always go to BleepingComputer for advice.

They've been saving my ass from stupid internet decisions since I was 14 or so. They might take a bit to respond, but they'll fix your issue eventually.

After running CCleaner and trying Firefox in safe mode it seems to be it. I haven't heard any of the clicks nor has anything came up. If anything else shows up I'll let you guys know.

If this is gone, then thanks for helping me out.

Nope, still there. I'll take off the addons and see if anything happens.

I'm late to this party, so if you've fixed the problem then I apologise.

I would uninstall Firefox and use Internet Explorer. If the problem doesn't occur using a different browser, then Firefox is an integral part of it. If it still occurs, then you know it's something deeper that's just using Firefox.

I had this problem, It turned out that my ISP was giving me advertisement.
Many people complained and so it was removed.

You can try add those websites in your HOSTS File.
