Carrie is an upcoming 2013 American supernatural horror film. It is the third film adaptation of Stephen King's 1974 novel of the same name, though MGM and Screen Gems, who are producing the film, employed a script that is reportedly more faithful to King's original novel.

    Release date - October 18, 2013

With some luck this will be one of the better horror movies of the year. Carrie is an excellent book, but Stephen King's novels don't seem to transition to the big screen all that well. At least when they're adapted closely from the books.

I liked the actress portraying Carrie in her previous roles especially in Kick Ass and Let Me In. So color me optimistic.

You'll see Chloƫ Grace Moretz again soon in Kick-Ass 2.

My favorite comment from the youtube page: "Is Chloe Moretz now old enough to masturbate to without shame?"

I hate my legs being kicked too, but top 3?

Speaking of which, pretty sure that movie with Jack Nicholson being nuts with an ax is amazing.

The movie version and book version of the Shining are pretty different on a pretty fundamental level, so I'd hesitate before using them as examples. The Shawshank Redemption was fantastic in both forms, but I found The Stand to be much more boring on screen than in print. As I said, King's works don't tend to adapt to the big screen very well.

Ye Olde Carrie is the exception of course. I loved that movie when I first saw it and, if this turns out to be just as good, I'll likely enjoy this one. It's a good concept for a film, even if the book was better.

She's legal in a large number of countries, so yes.

That aside; I'm pretty psyched for the movie.
