And no, I don't mean the slight flaming.

If you're too crybaby to take a slight hazing, that pretty much everyone had to endure to weed out some of the idiotic 13 year olds, then you don't belong here. Here's what you do. /wrists

Don't post Slash then expect to be welcomed. Don't post "LOOKING FOR HAWT MANSECKS", then get offended when a few folks tell you're better off elsewhere, and cop an attitude, and get bitchy. It just rolls down hill from there, and I'll hold YOU accountable for doing something so stupid that it falls under the MORON clause Raven stated above.

We can tolerate some slash, if it's extraordinary. However the mass amount of "Looking for slash" lately, by middle age parents is just fucking creepy. If you're 30 something years old, with tweener kids, you've got no damned business searching for fudgepacking fics starring 13-16 year old boys. Or maybe you do, in which case, I'm sure we have some catholics here who'd love to give confession Father/Nun.

Following a hazing by dissing the site and calling it childish is stupid as well. We didn't invite you here, you came here. If you spent long enough to decide to register, then I'm assuming you realized quite a bit of these stupid posts lately have come off 100% troll.

I'm aware we have some unspoken rules that weve neglected to write down and be 100% clear for some of the DEE-DEE-DEE people, and when we get some time we'll sit down and make them crystal clear, since evidentally some folks cant use a iota of common sense.

As this site grows bigger as more members join, the rate is just going up of late. We really need something like a mandatory maturity test or something before we admit membership or something. Or hide a test to show whether the person shall fit in and hide it in some sort of a sorting hat test like other places are said to have. I see no other way to weed out the morons quick enough then have to wait for them to show themselfs and annoy alot of people.

Wow, this site has gotten some real bitches in the time I've been gone, eh?

I'd just like to emphasize Mid's statement, and also say that I love this forum. All those threads made me laugh my ass off at the responses. Especially those pictures. :p

I know I'm fairly new here and though I've read a lot more threads than I've replied to and got the gist of what sort of things a lot of members won't like, and thus wouldn't post it. About the people looking for slash though, if you just come to the site and don't read around much (as I'm sure there'll be some who don't), then they might post it because of the fact that there's a section for slash here. If people don't want to spend a long time looking at things, then maybe that's where they get the idea that it's acceptable and nobody will get at them for it?

That's just a theory though. Maybe it might help if you put on the description for "The Restricted Section" that it only houses exceptional slash (if any at all; I've kept out of there)? I don't know, just a suggestion to attempt to help out a bit.

That's just pure laziness then, they shouldn't come to the site, not find what they want without digging then post a thread immediatly asking other people to find what THEY'RE looking for. It's just not right. Anyone who does that doesn't deserve to be on this great site.

Along the same lines, if someone is a huge h/g, h/hr, h/some guy fan than they shouldn't come to a site that is known to scorn those pairings. I agree with Sree there needs to be some sort of test for new members, maybe a short quiz or have them right a few sentences on why they would like to be allowed entrance, that way we would atleast be able to gauge the maturity levels of people who want in..

The sentence thing is nice, but that would give the mods more work, and if I understand correctly, they have more than enough. The quiz sounds better, it can be set up so that personal reviews are unnecessary, but a limit would be needed, else a determined fool would retake the test until they passed.

I did at one point have a requirement that it had to be exceptional, when Raven made the restricted section, he forgot to add that in, heh. I'll do it later if he doesnt.

And no, no quiz or entry exam is needed. We police our own, as I've said, either a person sacks up and stays if someone bitches at him needlessly, or they cry like a little baby and leave. It's worked thus far, and the ones that CAN stay, but SHOULD go, we happily take care of =)

Holy... are you serious, Mid? There are actually middle age parents looking for slash... or even smut for that matter? That's kind of creepy. Do they even realize that they may have kids the same age? I mean, I know that a lot of young teenagers enjoy that... "stuff", but hell, they're teenagers. I only know a few older girls who still like slash like that, but they're all a bit weird - and none of them have kids.

I think there is no need for a quiz. The admins have been doing a great job sorting out the dicks who were asking for bans. Also when was the Rep power feature added. I assume this is what you were talking about when you told Cupspeaker that neg repping him would send him so far into the negatives. It's interesting to see how powerful people are.

I am one of the few slashers on this site and proud of it. I really don't have a problem with those who don't like slash since some of the slashers are morons. I do defend slash when I'm attacked. But for the most part I really don't care about who hates it or not. I'm here for the same reason that everyone else is I like Dark Harry fics. The end.

Sometimes I wonder if we started to label stickies ' Read this n00b or die!' people will actually read them -_-.

Seriously all the stupid and necro posts are starting to make me wish it was invite only. Which I would despise as some of the best members here (as far as I know) just wondered in on there own.
(If any of you are reading this and haven't read the rules and such yet, please do.)

    I agree with Mid too.

Whenever I open a thread, I always search to see if its been covered. I had a query about the blue rep marker on the User CP. Instead of opening a thread to ask about it, I searched and found the answer. It took less time too, since i didnt have to wait for replys.

It can't be that hard for everyone else to do that too!
