What do you think the wizarding world in Britain and the world in general might look long after the main series. And by that I also mean after the epilogue.

So yea, we know that 'All was well' in 2017, but what about later dates? As the muggle world is changing in one way or another, surely wizards are also going to change (into what, who knows).

    I'm talking dates like 2050, 2100, 2200...

Now, of course I understand that it is going to be hard to predict what the muggle world will look like in 2100, let alone the wizarding one, but we can do it.

I thought the whole deal with the wizarding world, technologically, was that it's fairly stagnant. I can't see it progressing all that much.

I don't mean technologically. But all cultures change in one direction or another. A new major dark wizard may arise, who knows what might happen.

Maybe even Goblins get wands, as implausible it sounds.

I used to think that too, but recently I've come to the conclusion that idea is probably fanon. Brooms seemed to advance very quickly over the canon years, the Twins invented a whole load of stuff and it's not like they can possibly be some never before seen geniuses that will never be seen again. Populations don't work like that.

Plus Snape is a clear example of how even a single person can invent a lot of spells and probably potions (and definitely of finding better ways to create existing ones). Taking that into account, it's very possible a lot of the spells we see in canon were created a lot more recently that we think, at least in their current form. IIRC there's even regular journals on subjects like tranfiguration, which wouldn't really be possible if their weren't regular discoveries, inventions or theoretical advancement of a least some form that could be written about.

Basically magical advancement (which is their technological advancement) doesn't seem stagnant at all.

Wizarding world in the far future? Wizards will have to go to space with the Muggles if they will start colonizing other planets, moons and asteroids. This would be a major problem that wizards would have to adress. Either they could leave the muggles alone, or go with them and check, that they do not find about magic through accidential magic, a dickish wizard, or alien magical life - and now imagine what the wizards would do if Muggles would encounter another inteligent, extraterestial life form that posses magic.

Then again, maybe they get to a new world and find out that they're no longer magical. It throws the magical world into a tailspin. Is magic then only earth based and not actually part of the person? Some try to ban space travel and wipe out the knowledge, others try to research and explore it. Still others try to find ways to cause the effect here and manipulate the wizarding world.

Or maybe the lower Martian atmospheric pressure and/or gravity causes magical cores to increase their mana flux output and suddenly all wizards and witches become Superman.
