Elizabeth Olsen confirmed for Wanda Maximoff
Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass) confirmed for Pietro Maximoff
James Spader confirmed for Ultron

The current rumour is that Baron Von Strucker might make an appearance in the film.

 

So what kind of roles are they (Scarlet Witch/Quicksilver) gonna be doing here? Or what kind of role are they likely to have at least? I know little about the comicverse (or even the cartoonverse, really) so I haven't a clue what to expect here.

 

Such a shame that the X-Men aren't owned by the same people who own the MCU.

 

The real shame is definitely Spider-Man.

 

The current rumor is that they'll be working for Baron Von Strucker in the beginning of the movie and then join up with the avengers.

Wanda and Pietro's whole thing has been atoning for their former villainy by joining the avengers.

I just want a moment with Cap's kooky quartet (Steve, Pietro, Clint and Wanda) being reunited. Whedon said clearly he is a huge fan of this era of avengers.

Vision rumoured to join the cast of A2.

Okay, I'm getting a but worried about bloating. But at the same time besides the absence of Wonder Man, and the addition of Black Widow and Rhodey this was my favorite team of Avengers.

Not to mention, Joss Whedon is a fan of Vision/Wanda who were the perfect couple in comics with most of their relationship angst being due to poor writers (Bendis, Byrne).

Hawkeye really just wanted to impress Wanda like half the team by becoming the leader of the team. QS and Clint were great friends but man QS hated everybody who hit on sister and until she got married that was EVERYONE. Even now In 616 Clint still lusts after Wanda.

I think some interpretations of Loki have him asexual, in that he is whatever he wants to be at any given situation, man or woman.

He also is the voice of J.A.R.V.I.S in Iron Man so not sure how that's gonna work unless this is completely different.

The Vision could be J.A.R.V.I.S. corrupted and given a body by Ultron.

Like this choice and I'm amused by how different are people's reactions to Marvel's announcements compared to WB's.

 

We all knew only bad things could come from Tony blowing up all his suits. And now JARVIS is Ultron-Vision, which sounds like some new high-quality television system.

The marvel universe really just likes dicking with Clint's romantic efforts when it comes to Wanda.

He made out with a Loki disguised as Wanda and figured out it wasn't the real deal because he had slept with Wanda earlier that year.

Then he found out that the amnesiac Wanda that he slept with turned out to be a Wandabot while Doom was fooling around with the real one.

The one time I can remember him actually kissing her had her burst into tears and him looking like a giant jerk to the avengers.

Loki was recently confirmed in marvel to be bisexual.

 

Bisexual: attracted to men and women.
Pansexual: attraction regardless of gender identity or biological sex.
Asexual: zero or next to zero sexual attraction to anyone.
I think the word we're looking for in regard to Loki picking his gender is shapeshifter. Possibly a pansexual shapeshifter, I suppose.

 

Whatever. That. I said asexual in the sense that he does not think of himself as specific gender. Maybe that's not the right word, but eh.

Anyway. Paul Bettany is great, so I'm intrigued. He and Spader should be a good villainous duo, given a decent script. Someone on facebook was saying Ms Marvel had been confirmed too, which would be awesome, but I've not actually seen that anywhere official.

...Hm. It'll probably be one of the new ones, since new audiences wouldn't have gotten attached to them yet.
