Feel free to care as much or little as you please. I was directly replying to Invictus (who brought up her cliche-ness to start with) with that comment on Megumi being boring, not to you. I wasn't trying to assail your reasoning with some kind of dismissal based on personal bias. Neither was anybody else. I personally was quite done having anything to say on the matter.

But now that we're back here, I won't lie either. I have zero interest in seeing Megumi rise up and defeat the queen of Tootsuki, because I give approximately negative two fucks about her or her story. Shokugeki no Souma, if you please. It's the same feeling I had during the Part II Sasuke arcs in Naruto, before I dropped that series. Let's have that Grappler Baki plot, and not bother with such irrelevant distractions. If it happens, it happens. But it's not something I'm looking forward to. If the battle were to happen, I personally think I'd quite love it if the author bucked shounen convention and had Erina triumph over Megumi. Would also cast a shadow over the 'obvious truth' that Souma's hard work and determination will naturally allow him to surpass Jouichirou, making Souma's final victory all the sweeter.

tl;dr: I don't think anything you're saying is at all incorrect or unlikely to happen. I hope you're mistaken about the Megumi bit, though, because it doesn't appeal to me.

Or equally likely she'll become his principal love interest, depending on which route the author decides to take between her and Megumi.

So in Tower of God, Reflejo was like going out with a princess of Zahard... is he Anak's father?

No, he got his eyes put out and his family exterminated for apparently looking at one soon-to-be Princess Yulia in a manner that displeased her attendant Rankers, or some such sob story. This would presumably have happened long before the Anak we know was born, given that Reflejo has stated his age to be somewhere over a thousand.

    So. Claymore.

    The long awaited return?

I'm not sure how I feel about it, to be honest.

I was expecting that kind of development since the beginning but nothing had come from it in so long that I'd forgotten all about it. So it's a nice surprise for me.

I honestly did not see this coming, though I think it was definitely hinted at.

Super excited! This will be awesome.

    Yes, exactly!

I thought we'd seent he last of Teresa's influence back when Clare had sufficiently mastered the sensing-youki style of fighting. It does make sense, though, that her power still exists - especially if you think about Dae's necromancy with the other former number ones.

It's time to see the awakened power of the Claymore that cut down an awakened number one with contemptuous ease.

I'm looking for manga/anime that deals with magic and the supernatural.

So, something like Death Note, Franken Fran, Rosario+Vampire, Hell Girl, Hellsing, Ao No Exorcist, High School DxD.

    Tower of God.

This all went down about as perfectly as possible. FUG got owned hardcore, and I think they just might be done as major players in the story after this. Their influence wasn't comparable to the Families to start with, and whatever they did have just got flushed down the commode.

Checked the premise and it sounds interesting. Alright, I'll give it a try.

Any more stuff? Preferably with magic, witches, ghosts, maybe vampires or demons and all that jazz.

No, FUG arent done, not by a longshot. Their plan with the thorn is pretty much completely gone, but they still have lots of elite members and lots of secret plans.

FUG have been around as long as Zahard himself (Grace was one of the guys that helped put him on that Throne), and have been known as extremists from long before the start date of the story. The idea of them being done as an organization from this is just naive and stupid. Even Karaka's faction specifically probably won't be all that hard hit from this.

I mean, from the start they were an organization that has its power base from controlling criminals and recruiting people dissatisfied with and screwed over by the current system so bad they'd die to destroy it. Exactly how has that changed all of a sudden? They were never an organization with a shop front window. They've lost a potential recruitment drive with what they were pushing with Viole earlier, but the very thing they were pushing was "he's a super powered psycho crazy intent on wiping out the Ten Families".

Their power and influence is basically exactly the same. And now they'll be working to get back their one key to achieving their ultimate goal, who happens to also be the main character of the story they're apparently "done as major players in". Well, apart from YHS who'll just somehow manipulate him into achieving the ultimate goal anyway without him ever knowing it, even Wangnan and co joining and the meetup and escape with his friend's this arc was apparently part of that dude's unknowable plan. Which is kind of getting annoying, since much like with Aizen in Bleach, there's no way the master plan can live up to the build up.

Witch Hunter Robin is a good albeit old one.
Noragami is a good new one that's at 13 episodes now.
Hellsing especially the OVA's , I highly recommend.
Twelve Kingdoms is another top quality one, its old but its the best fantasy anime I've ever watched.

I really wouldn't recommend Fairy tail, its crap.

Yes, Yes, Hell yes- though ignore the ending of the manga, and yup.

Fairy Tale can manage to be neat until around Etherion, where the author pulls some bull with Erza and ruins her character.

    TL;DR

If you're going to go forward with fairy tail, read or watch, don't bother with both, they're practically the same.

Witches, magic, fantasy... I'm hearing Ranma.

Because of Hachuling streaming all of their present blundering through the Tower.

So much in the Tower has been said to derive from prestige and influence, and FUG just got exposed as petty and small-time. I mean, really, they're supposed to be aiming to take down Zahard and the Families and are caught on camera trying (and failing, for fuck's sake!) to bully a bunch of Regulars. It's like the mob kicking down the door of an elementary school classroom and coming in to shake down the kids for their lunch money. Don't you imagine that those Rankers watching this are just sneering at them now? It's literally Team Rocket.

Would you want to join up with a group like that, regardless of your sympathy for their ultimate goals? Hell, I would imagine a good number of their current members are looking at this and perhaps reconsidering their decision to be a part of FUG.

It seems to me that they've gotten their time in the limelight and now SIU is taking the narrative elsewhere. Lots of people and groups to explore in this story, after all. I never said they were actually finished as an organization. Just that SIU has trolled the shit out of them and now Baam and the story that revolves around his climb are moving on down the road.

    tl;dr: Goodbye assholes, hello Wingtree.

EDIT: Never mind all of it anyway. SIU 'reassured' us in his blog post that these asshats aren't going away after all. It's a pity, because they're a drag on the narrative and being rid of them would be quite refreshing. I think that makes me like, maybe, two for a couple hundred on predicting things in this series.

Which amounts to, shit all compared to the Empire (Word of God). And if anyone had allowed themselves to believe otherwise, this incident serves as a pretty good reminder.

Was this necessary? Cut out the bush-league insults. It's beneath intelligent discussion and detracts from your point.

I don't think FUG's power or position has taken as big a hit as you say it had, LT. For one thing, this is just a tournament (and quite probably there are other workshop tournaments on other floors) and while there is a big audience, remember that there are 100+ floors in the tower and a proportional number of people. For another, terrorists are not known for their failures but their successes.

But damn this was satisfying. Came totally out of left field. All I could think when I finished was "Damn, Hachuling trolled the fuck out of these guys." Also, these FUG rankers are pretty much done for.

The problem for FUG is that they've got Rankers and influential people all over the Tower, thanks to Hachuling's hacking, watching them attempt to directly use Rankers to beat down a bunch of Regulars. That's just not acceptable behavior, by almost anyone's standards. Koon stated that their actions would cause huge problems for them if they leaked out, and that one Ranker's reaction to Lero-ro telling him about the recording appears to validate that.

I believe that FUG will face significant ridicule over this incident, and will have corresponding difficulties in attracting followers and making connections as a result. Either they'll scurry back into their rat holes and lay low for a time until the shitstorm passes, or they'll try to pull some brazen, desperate act to regain their lost street cred.

That's their ideal situation, but they're getting very well known for a very epic failure right now.

I'm looking for a very specific manga, one that I have read way back in 2010 but can't seem to find now.

I remember only a few details about it, but I'll try to list them.

    - It was about a witch.
    - She had a flying broom (as witches usually have).
    - The witch was fairly young and had long, black hair.
    - She lived in the city, in her own apartment.
    - She had a talking familiar (not sure if it was a cat or another animal).
    - The manga was fairly comedic with sexual undertones.
    - It may or may not have been a hentai (I'm unsure about that, 4 years is a lot of time).

I hope that DLP helps me with this.

LT2000, you're beating the dead horse here. If SIU actually confirmed that FUG is still a major antagonist then obviously it is not as you say and a bad press release has crippled one of the oldest and most dangerous organisations in the entire tower. An organisation that, may I remind you, is basically trying to kill god. Even if people laughed at them for a while about confronting regulars (which is not even why they dont want the video to get out, its because it exposes one of their plans and that ranker would probably be severely punished for being seen on t.v.), they still have the order of Slayers, hugely powerful people who each was predicted like Baam to be the ones to kill Zahard.

I get that you personally don't like them, but why insist that they are stupid and weak when canonically they are anything but?
