New members seeing a quote in my sig from a fic, and PMing me to ask for a link to the fic. Does this happen to anyone else. Its happened to me twice now.

New members pay attention: Try the SEARCH function. Hell, the latest person to ask, included the name of the fic in her request. There is no reason why she couldn't have searched.

This has never happened to me...but then that may be because I don't have any quotes from fics in my sig...

Your intelligence sometimes astounds me Taure ;)

Bad shit Mordecai, but hey, there's a good ailment to this illness - link to it in your sig. It'll save your inbox from getting filled up, save people from having to bother to PM you, save you from having to read said PMs, save Taure from having to use his brainpower so usefully, and save me from typing this. ;) I get your point and your problem, though.

That's it, Element! I'm writing you up for an actual intelligent and helpful response! No more!

Err... yeah, really Mordecai. Did you not consider just linking to the fic with the quote, like say, many of the others do with their sig quotes?

    Twice? TWICE?!!! The outrage!

    /sarcasm

Did you not think that a thread such as this might not quite be as intellectually astounding and riveting as you first may have thought?

Hmm. All I have to say is that you put the quote there, so expect people to ask about it.

I used to put story quotes in my sig, but I normally included the name of the story, the author, which characters are quoted and what chapter it was in. It probably saved me from plenty of PM's.

I can sympathise Mordecai. I've had people reply to a new chapter in my Yahoo group to ask where they can find the rest of the fic. Is it really so hard to click the "links" link on the left hand side? I'll admit that I'm guilty of having a few chapters make it to FFnet that didn't see the group, and vice versa, but I try to keep links available.

    Twice? ...

Mord, shut the hell up. You've got NO right to complain about PMs. Do you have any idea how many I got about my dancing Azn chick ava? Or how many Middy gets about idiotic shit?

    Just shut up.

And stop wasting space on pointless topics like this.

Awww... But I liked Mords abortion of a thread :)

With that said, if any new members PM me about my Avatar (when I'm rocking the political one) or my sig I will shoot them.

Pedro is referring to the character in the film, Napoleon Dynamite. He is a dorky "nerd" who was running for class president. Soon people began wearing T-Shirts with "Vote For Pedro" on it.

Its quite hilarious, here's a link to the best bit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9BR4DjqRRI
Have a look, no one dances quite like he does.

Back on topic however, there is a famous quote (that I've butchered a bit to fit)
Just put a link to the quotes in your sig, its easier.
