Ok so for ages I would see the abbreviation MWPP come up. Now I had no idea what this was originally but using my amazing deductive skills I concluded that everyone was reading Molly Weasley / Peter Petegrew Romance fics. Gross yes, but really a match made in heaven, both ugly useless pathetic characters who deserve to die a slow and painful death.

I would come across cases where my idea for it didn't really fit. People would refer to it as an "era" or people around here would say "Yeah I really like those fics" But I just shrugged it off as random tastes like people around here liking slash such as Harry/Hermione and Harry/Cho.

Then just the other day the true meaning of it clicked when someone mentioned MWPP attacking Snape and I thought "What the cow and rat attacking Snape? He'd crucify them" Then it clicked Moony Wormtail Padfoot Prongs... I'm and retard.

Why you ask did I just not ask someone what it meant? Dignity. I wasn't going to ask what it meant I was going to wait until it came up in random chat or someone else asked then pretend I knew all along and laugh at the poor fool who didn't.

But now I feel like letting you all laugh at me and my stupidity. I would find this horribly funny if the next post was "Hey Dumass MWPP doesn't stand for that it stands for..."

    Yeeeahhh........

    :scoots away quickly:

Seriously, I didn't know what it meant when I first read it, although I was able to figure it out. I have NO idea how you concluded that stories about Molly Weasley and Peter Pettigrew would be so popular, but then again its no nuttier than MPreg, and Harry/Draco, so...

Well done on figuring it out. I'll admit to not knowing what it meant at first, but it didn't take me that long to figure out I don't think.

Wow! That makes me feel so proud of having figured it out on my own!... But maybe that was because I had a "Marauders" phase.

If it can make you feel better, I had to ask around what LMAO meant ^^. Though I did figure out b/c, WTF and STFU myself... Curiously enough, my English teacher forgot to give us a lesson about English netspeak, back in highschool. The things you learn about a foreign language when you hang around on forums...

For those who haven't figured it out, though:

b/c: Birth control - often used in sentences with incorrect punctuation, ie: I need protection b/c I don't want my girlfriend pregnant - meaning We should really use birth control. I don't want my girlfriend to become pregnant.

WTF: White trash friend. Derogatory term used by minorities to refer to things that white friends are like, IE: WTF is a duck?.

STFU: Sometimes, two friends undress.... An alternate version of When a man loves a woman, ... for more modern times. Often succeeded by a mockery of the individual the comment is made towards, ie: STFU you newb, meaning 'When a man loves a woman - oh, wait - this will never matter to you, you nerd.[/i]

I hope this tutorial was helpful.

Why would you demean Pettigrew by comparing him to Molly? Pettigrew actually does important things, and will probably be an important second tier character in book 7. All Molly does is smother Harry, be a bitch to Hermione/Fleur and poison Harry with love potion to make him "love" Ginny.
