I recently read Whatever Happened To Bromance and was wondering if anybody knows any similar good fics. When I mean similar, I mean a fanfic where Harry acts like a normal teenager, and is less broody, and actually takes advantage of his fame. Whether that's to get girls (or boys), or just have fun. I'm not really bothered about lemons, but I'd prefer it if they weren't the focus of the story.
If his actions mean he has different friends, that'd be a plus, although it'd be interesting to see a jealous Ron (realistically jealous, not a moron without a brain), and Hermione react to it.
No IndyHarry!, or Heir to All Four Houses, or anything similar. I don't want him to be a Gary Stu, shouting back at Dumbledore in the Great Hall. Thx in advance.

Whatever Happened to Bromance is probably the best thing I've read that matches your description. Chapter 2 was written by Hoos Your Daddy who also wrote It Could Only Happen to Harry Potter.

Haven't read it so can't speak to quality, but the style could be similar. It's set after Voldemort's death.

 

It's horrifically written but, when reading fanfiction, you take what you can find, stick your fingers in your ears, scream lalala, and pretend that the drivel you're reading is actually worth it.

I think I read a fic, where Harry in his Obligatory Independent Shopping Spree buys a pair of Very Magical Glasses that lets him see through clothes, but censors private parts with blurred pixels.

 

Or, you know, you click that little X or back button that takes you out of the story. You're not being held hostage, you don't need to settle for mediocre shit. You find a new fic, or you read an actual published novel, or you check out the DLP library... or you can go to Story Search and request decent stories that fit what you're looking for. Like Redhawk did. Just a suggestion. But, hey, if masochism is your thing... You do you.
