In everyone's profile there is a section for wand type. I was wondering how everyone chose their wand, was it just a guess, some type of quiz that assigned you one, did you look for representations, or are you just trying to be funny?

My wand is from celtic representations of Lilac, it is the wood of the Twins, Gemini, and aligned with the wind. It is seen as good for mental magic, illusions, travel, detection, divination, and it indicates giftedness and growth.

The white hart is the beast closest to the planet Uranus and the titan Prometheus, bringer of fire and teacher of arts, rebellion and revolution.

The size is mostly just a guess.

    o_O Mine came from practicality.

I've always liked the sheen Mahogany had about it.

9in. seemed long enough to be fluently accurate with but still hide.

Basilisk fang comes from the "holy shit poison" and "Destroyed part of a soul" angles - not at all that I was reading Cliche`d garbage when I joined, never.

*cough*Nope, nobody was ignorant of the truly good qualities of fan fiction. Certainly not anyone who posted in this thread.

I was thinking of a restaurant I had to go to; on Larch Street. Black, because everything looks good in black, and I just found some site that said "Hippogriff talon is good for charms".

Creosote trees live longer than any tree on the planet. That and my pheonix feather should tell you what I think of my mortality.

    I am a god.

Lol, I chose Cherry wood 'cos it looks pretty. Shows how much I think about symbolism. Went for phoenix feather as the phoenix is more powerful than dragons and unicorns.

Uh, what wand? In the immortal words of Dane Cook, "I can shoot a laser out my cock."

Right...your wand is like a sword, so you can't say anything?

I doubt I have to overstate the stupidity of that statement. Of course, that isn't bolstered by your 'location' being "On my throne in Hell".

This thread is kind of pointless...I'm fairly sure it's easily understood that the 'wand type' thing in the User options is just for kicks, not meant to be a symbol for anything. And if someone says "Basilisk heart and yew wood", there's really no need to analyze it, going "hmm, tree of death, and blah blah blah, makes you this kind of person, blah blah blah".

I agree with Yarrgh, it is just a fun thing we do... no need to make up some random story about your wand of choice. I'm sure most people on here didn't even think about it when deciding. And deathtehfluffybunny don't try to sound all elitist, that just pisses people off.

Yarrgh stop being a Killjoy >_<

This thread did have a valid question and its intersting to see the reasons behind some of the choices. This is no more usless than some of the other threads I've seen.

Edit: A question btw that I have no answer too.

Edit2: On second thought, no it was slightly ingorant to make a thread for this, but I'll defend it anyway. As I'm acutally interested in why people choose the things they do.

My wand is is 3 inches of grim bone with basilisk tears because it's completely impossible. Everythings better when you can't have it. And besides, what's better than a 3 inch wand?

    I have to disagree Garr.

The entire point behind a wand title is so that you can psychoanalyze any person's choices, and use those thoughts and ideas that you've been able to pick apart from their brain and use them to crush them. Seeing what a person in DLP puts in that wand title slot is enough for one to figure of they are a boy or girl, black or white, Christian or Muslim. It helps us decide who we're going to stalk, murder, rape or beat, for the sheer 'Fun-Hard' of our lives.

I mean...that's what I thought it was used for. Right?

I have a three inch long ebony wand so it is easy to hide fits in the palm of your hand and black is harder to see than most other colors. Core of a fairy heart cause no one else has one and I wanted to be special. Also goes with the whole "Size doesn't matter" theme I have going on.
