Huge fucking news:

BDO's Character Creator is available for free. You can start making chars right now and import them into the game on release. Or, even if you never buy the game, you can have access to a top of the line next gen char creator (at least for the foreseeable future).

The CC client is under maintenance today, but it should be up and working soon.

Edit: FemHarry is my traditional first char in any game with CC. This took me about 2 hours :3.

 

I looked online and the raiding looks like bad durps. Anyone get to play it or is just another really pretty MMO?

I checked online and what things I could find about the PvE is massively lacking and no healers is not a good thing.

I was really looking forward to the character creator but I found it to be quite underwhelming in its current state... the customization for female character is pretty good but the male options seem a bit lacking.

 

Really? Seems pretty similar to me. Makeup options are different for girls, and there are fewer hairstyles for guys, but with 9 sliders for each moveable part, you can drastically change the appearance of any option. Just gotta spend time familarizing yourself with what does what.
