That hololens thing looked really interesting. Not for minecraft, obviously, but for things like Civ 5 or SimCity.
Man, the overreaction on the gaming community as a whole is just hilarious. OMG, NO SKILLS? UNCHANGEABLE VOICED PROTAGONIST? PRE-WAR CHARACTER DESIGN?!? TOTAL SHIT GAME!!!1! It's just as wild on the optimism scale too, but the negativity after one day of digestion following the E3 presentation is just great. Come on people, it's not like Bethesda made their last 3-4 games Daikatana-style or anything.
The fact that I get this reference makes me feel old. MS announcing that Xbox One will be backward compatible with Xbox 360 could be a game changer in how well it sells compared to PS4. Your move Sony.
Looks like it's there, but they changed it into some kind of Rank system. I'm not necessarily against reforming the Skills system, as long as it makes sense and doesn't allow the player to be Master of Everything. Well, actually I don't think Bethesda's capable of making a game where you're not Master of Everything, but maybe they can manage the first one. Skills in the previous two did have a lot of unnecessary padding -- like how Lockpick was only useful in 25-point intervals.
If that Holo thing works like they showed it... Well we sure as fuck are living in the future. I can think of a million and one uses for it. It could change so much.
It's emulation. Only games the white list will be available, when they make it available. Either way, old games are old. I want them focusing on new shit. Bet they don't really though. I have a really bad feeling that being in the lead will make them complacent/ arrogant. I hope I'm wrong...
Although it's cool for XB1 owners that they will get to play modded Fallout 4, I personally don't care, because I only ever play Bethesda games on PC. Maybe it will help expand the modding community, though, so there's that. One thing about FO4 that I'm pleased with is the combat. It looks a lot better, and mods will only enhance it further. Makes me really excited for the next Elder Scrolls.
1) Dunno if it's exclusive 2) really curious how it'll work with achievements. Some mods are just cheats, lol. On another note, something hilarious that snuck under the radar. Tomb Raider is coming out on the same day as Fallout. Expect a mysterious delay into December.
Was I the only one let down by the demon design? Those melee take downs will get old too, especially since it seems you get more ammo from doing them (so you'll be doing them often). I laughed when they did the hand scan though. Brilliant.
Just remember, for all the things Todd Howard promises, maybe half of them will actually be in the final release. Anyway, here's the cinematic trailer for Dark Souls 3.
Normally that would be true, but I suspect they've been sitting on FO4 for a while now, and it's pretty close to its final build. The technology is barely next-gen. It looks slightly better than my modded Skyrim setup, though with worse textures. I'm not worried, because modding can work wonders, and I know it will make this game look fantastic for years to come. But basically, you can tell this game has been done for a while now. They're probably well into the next Elder Scrolls' development already.
I don't have one, it was still super interesting. It was a really solid show. ---------- Post automerged at 03:03 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:57 PM ---------- Mass Effect: Andromeda holiday 2016
Ok well now we at least have a ME4 release date. Oh yeah, and YES YES, ALL OF MY FUCKING YES. In other words, that brief snippet looked great.
