I don't like pairings. As with many people, I like to place myself in the protagonist's position, and there is no way I could see myself with Hermione, Tonks, Ginny, RandomOC#4, or heaven forbid, Snape.

I'd appreciate if anyone could recommend some plot-driven, Harry-centric stories where the author is not intent on pairing Harry up with someone, or making him into a sex-crazed maniac roaming the nights for a quick lay.

If there is already a thread for this I'd appreciate the link. Hell if I could find it.

 

Really? There are hundreds of fics where Harry doesn't turn into a sex crazed maniac. In fact most fics out there don't portray Harry as a sex monster.

There re an awful lot of fics like this. Just going from the first pge of Wba you get:

Harry Potter and the Forests of Valbonë

Death Shall Have No Dominion

And those are just the ones I've read recently. Take a look around Wba and the library and there'll be plenty that meet your criteria.

 

What else do you look for in a fic beyond Harry not being in a relationship? You could give Prince of the Dark Kingdom a try. Or maybe Ectomancer?

I do look for more in a story than 'no pairings' . I especially like stories with well developed magic systems like Harry Potter and the Lords of Magic and Second Chance of Life (despite the horrid spelling and way overpowered vampires in the latter). However, I thought it best to only have the one specification so that others with an aversion to pairings could use this thread too.
