For some reason, I really want to read some good Kim Possible fanfiction, which is something I've never done before.

If anyone could give me their best selections, it'd be much appreciated.

I recommend you the works of Cyberwraith9.

In the following order:

1 - The Power of Love

2 - The Power of Trust

3 - The Power of Friendship

and the incomplete Our Power Together.

Basically it's Kim and Ron contnuing their adventures at college and facing more and more dangerous threats while they must learn to redifine their friendship/relationship. A lot, if not all, of the villains in the series do make an apparition but the tone of the story is sligthly darker. Ron also starts to control his MonkeyMaster powers.

Overall, very good fics by an excellent author, if you have the time check his work on Teen Titans it's fantastic as well.

The occasional punctuation problems are worth it to get to the epic beatdown at the end.

 

I remember I went through a bunch of those stories awhile back, and there are two I remember off the top of my head that were okay.

Stolen Lives: After Ron's selection into the Pro Football hall of fame, he sits down with a writer to tell the definitive story of what really happened to Middleton in the dark days following the failed Lorwardian invasion. It's almost 200k, but it's incomplete. It's more story vignettes of the past shortly after the Lorwardian invasion, tied together by the fact that it's a 50ish Ron talking to a reporter about life as it was. It's actually pretty good, for the most part, though Kim is treated as either the devil or misunderstood, depending on the character describing. Either way, she doesn't come off great.

Way Too Old School: Ron goes to Miskatonic University on a Football scholarship. I don't remember much, other than that.

Ron Stoppable Ultimate Monkey Master: The beginning is really hackneyed. But if you can get past the first chapter, it gets pretty good: Ron, Monkey Fist, and Shego get sent to the 1800s, with Ron and Monkey Fist arriving at the same time and Shego decades after. Ron has to stop Monkey Fist from getting a certain object (I forget which) or Monkey Fist will rule the world.

the twist, is that whenever Ron dies, the timeline restarts, and he wakes up in the cave he started out in, in the 1800s. Basically, the Universe wants Ron to win, and he has to keep doing it over and over again, until he does

 

Now comes the really stupid question: Any good Crossovers?

 

That depends how you define "good". Beside the C2s that exist, there's one particularly prolific author that basically watches every popular movie that comes out, and makes a fusion of it with KP, Classic Cowboy.

 

It's been awhile since I looked at any KP fanfics.

That said, I remember it being filled with a lot of what was essentially Indie!Harry stories only with Ron as the protagonist.

 

Classic Cowboy used to have some decent KP crossovers, if I remember correctly. He had a whole matrix x-over triology, a star wars x-over that I remember liking that never got finished and he was working on a Batman Begins cross when I last checked.

Also, gabriel blessing's "On Four Legs" is pretty good and I keep hoping he'll update Ruinous and Door of Air.
