Getting there, but also acknowledging it's going to be a very rushed and as it stands it's a vaguely concocted idea that just reads like shit.

It is the first thing I've written in terms of fiction in almost two years though, so hopefully I can actually complete something for a change. I'll probably be cutting the time quite close re submission.

I hope I can complete my entry until tomorrow. Not entirely sure, though.

Yeah you know, sorted out my Daphne storyline within 2 days of the prompt being an option, pushed for either/or for prompts, was all excited about it. Then promptly got this job which requires a bunch of out-of-hours elearning I have to complete in a certain amount of time. Do not have the time management skills to do both.

I managed to write something leading up to the prompt, but not the prompt itself, so I think I win. (BTW, entries are out, in case anyone missed them)

Oh I missed it. I figured being on the 14th still meant I had time to give another edit. Especially living in the future in Australia. Not to worry. I'll post to WbA after the competition is done.

Small note for future competitions - perhaps alongside the date we also get a time in GMT or whatever.

I was caught out as well, especially since we had all of “deadline day” for the last competition, which is my only experience with actually submitting anything. Seems a bit silly to have that change with no obvious announcement in the OP or in the thread. (If I missed it, do feel free to correct me on that.)

Oh, well. That means I can review again, at least.

I’ll probably put my entry into WBA at some point in the next week.

Sorry about the confusion everyone - I've been out of the country and am quite sick at the moment while Xiph0 is pretty busy RL from my understanding.

Not a worry. Thanks, as always, to you and Xiph0 for putting in the time.

My computer is in my car trunk as I'm driving myself to NY at the moment. Sree was nice enough to substitute in and I've just sent him the last round of entries that came in before midnight.

Not the smoothest one we've done but that's bound to happen sometimes.

I think everyone expected it to be midnight tonight as the deadline - as in another 16 hours or so from now. But like you said - it's gonna happen sometimes.

    Be safe!

No worries, you guys. Thanks, as always, for your efforts to keep this thing running. Looking forward to reading and reviewing all the entries.

+1 for the deadline having a time attached in future. At least 4 people caught out by this, to my knowledge.

If as Xiph0 said not all stories are posted probably should be putting your rankings out quite, though you could be right depending on whatever is still waiting to be submiited

Having another day of edits would have been great for my story :< Ohwell. It's just kind of liberating to have it posted and being able to focus on something else now.

Ten entries? I haven’t read them yet but this already a great turnout.

Kind of sucks for people who did have something they prepared and had practically finished though.

There's talk of accepting a few more - send them to @Rahkesh Asmodaeus ASAP and cross your fingers? No promises as I'm not involved in the posting of stories but I agree that things ended in an unexpected way? I think we just had a miscommunication - again, no promises, but if your story was truly already about finished then it's worth a try (even if it isn't accepted for posting).
