I've ran into a few pictures and short ideas about Harry with a different appearance. In particular, inheriting hair colour from his mother. Created the thread when saw the screenshot of this tumblr post for the 3+ time.

There's potential for a discussion thread, but I figure had Harry inherited his mother's hair, there would have been a few interesting changes. (Maybe even with Snape's attitude). At the same time, you could argue that it would stay the same, as the difference is very artificial. It would depend on the author anyway.

I'm not sure if I want to have a full discussion about the potential of changes, but maybe there's already at least a decent fanfic that has this premise as part of it? It doesn't need to be the central idea.

 

There's this, at least. Harry's a ginger, as requested. I can't speak to its quality, but it's been recommended before on r/hpff.

 

First impressions on quality:
Uses the cropped image I linked as a story picture, which is good, I guess.
Starts with the very conversation in said picture.
Draco quickly goes on to mention "Sacred 28" which is never a good sign. Especially thrown into conversation this way.
Soon after, Weasleys Mistake harry for one of their own in confusion to get to the platform, too.
And then the sorting hat...

It's a bit too goofy and haphazard.

Quality is sad, overall.

Not exactly what I was hoping for, but left the question open-ended on purpose, so thanks for the link anyway .
