the Xion bot seems to have delisted or borked, but for those keeping track the story has hit endgame and the latest few chapters are dealing with the immediate POV of Shepard's choice.

Red, but... altered?

I actually haven't read them in depth yet, just skimmed, because there was a period of inactivity and when the push for Earth began I started a reread and didn't quite expect how fast the updates would come. The author must have spent the time building up a backlog to the ending.

 

Oh cool - now to try and remember where I'd got to...

 

Xion was probably hit with the same problems, if it's not simply running off of Scryer entirely.

 

Spent a decent chunk of today catching up on the last 100 chapters or so of the Mass Effect 3 story, which is now complete, although the series itself isn't; there's going to be an epilogue story, hopefully later in the year. I have mixed feelings, but less so than I would if there weren't going to be a follow-up.

A lot of it works more or less the same way the rest of the series does, which is to say that it's basically a novelisation of the games, with a few tweaks and expansions here and there, which I realise won't appeal to everyone but if you've got that far in the story probably won't be an issue. The end though...

So. Shepard goes through the beam, has her encounter with TIM, talks him into shooting himself, talks to the Catalyst, then goes for Destruction. Fine. Except then we cut to a whole bunch of other characters, canon and OC, and explore what actually happened, with Shepard's POV being presented as somewhere between a coma dream and a last ditch attempt to indoctrinate her. The actual solution is quite neat, and if it had just gone straight to that rather than the dream recap of canon, I'd be much more impressed, but as it is...
