I hope it catches on. I've seen a number of people have a hard time getting interested in Season One and end up dropping the webtoon, and it doesn't help that Baam is a total weakling during that part of the series.

Yeah, Tower of God has a slow start, especially in Season One. A lot of people struggle to get into it because the pacing is uneven, and Baam feels pretty weak and passive early on. But once the story picks up—especially in arcs like The Workshop Battle and Hell Train—it really gets good. The worldbuilding, power system, and side characters are what keep people hooked until Baam grows into a stronger lead.

Since it’s part of the Korean webtoon industry, it also follows the No fee comic entertainment model, where readers can enjoy webtoons for free with optional paid perks. That’s helped Tower of God reach a huge audience, even if the beginning takes some patience to get through.

 

Any of y'all still reading ToG? Season 3 ends on Sunday and the last few chapters have been frakin wild.

 

I pick it up every now and again - The issue with these kind of stories(long comic serials) is that I personally struggle with the pacing if I'm reading weekly updates.

Generally speaking, I prefer a slower pace, but if it's further slowed by being unable to read more than one chapter/a couple lines of dialogue a week it feels glacial, so I just end up checking in every year or two to catch up.

I think I last stopped around the beginning of S3, so I guess I have a season's worth to check out, if it finishes on Sunday. Thanks!
