Lindsey managed to catch this one live, and tipped me off, so I watched it 20 mins after it happened. Was quite something.

And for a bonus, here's a scary tornado identifier on radar that inexplicably (or not, DOGE cuts....) went un-warned for almost 15 minutes while having storm chasers videoing the tornado. Though, admittedly, the wind velocity signature wasn't as impressive.



Here's a composite radar images with more hook echoes than a tackle box. 8 discrete supercell thunderstorms.



And lastly, a stupidly perfect tornadic debris signature, this one had debris lofted over 25,000 feet/7600 meters into the air.



Another example, the Mayfield, KY EF4 tornado in 2021 had debris lofted 38,000 feet/11,500 meters into the air. And yes that purple blob to the right is from the same tornado, it is shit and wood and bricks and trees and things that get blown out of the main mesocyclone. That storm had things that were blown hundreds of miles away and landed that were from the town of Mayfield.
