The castle corridors after the battle (I might add more rubble).

Hits the vibe of a forgotten, unused part of the castle. Is this a game engine or a program like Photoshop? Is Photoshop still a thing? I know nothing about graphic design.

It's in Unreal Engine. I've never used Photoshop, so not sure how/if that still works. I've added sleeping paintings since (where the white squares are) and I'll get them to snore when you walk close to them! ; D

It all seems very dark. There's light streaming through the windows in those first two shots and all. That's pretty nice, but I dunno. Darkness doesn't really scream Hogwarts to me. It could really be any other castle.

It's set right after the battle, when the castle is heavily damaged and mostly empty. In the film, you see parts of it...

Sure, but those are kind of doing more interesting things with the lighting. In the first shot that you just posted, you have a pretty clear contrast of the relative darkness compared to the light streaming in. In the second there's actually a lot of natural lighting, it's just blue to emphasize the vibe of the shot. The same goes for the third also.

Yours are just dark. It makes sense with it being a castle, but the first shot you post has lanterns to provide lighting. I don't know how hard it is, but maybe that's something you could include to make it click more easily as Hogwarts to me?

Oh I see what you mean. I did have lamps to begin with, but then it looked very 'warm and glowy', which didn't really mesh with the vibe I was going for to start with. You only spend a minute or so in the corridor/burned area before entering the rest of the Room of Requirement (these are scenes from a game), and that's very 'glowy'. So I wanted more of a contrast between the two areas.

Having said that, I've added a few paintings on the walls with gold frames, which warm up the overall tone a bit. You'll also have a wand, which adds a bit more lighting in the area surrounding you.
