    A few years ago when RWBY was fresh to all of us there was a pretty big surge in stories that mostly petered out, were terrible, or went nowhere. A World of Bloody Evolution is the other kind. The summary tells you what's coming, and while it's a straightforward crossover mechanic RedrumSprinkles does it extremely well. They write fight scenes viscerally, and they manage to capture the feeling of a galaxy spanning Imperium. It's an overused term but this story is truly epic. The author claims it's about three fifths done, but honestly if they ended it where it currently stands I wouldn't change my rating and I'd still be satisfied.     I've followed this for years, and it's great. 6/5, best RWBY fic I've ever read. Best 40k crossover I've ever read. Generally fantastic, with good twists and characterization and space!magic!guns.

    I only know about the RWBY and 40k from crossovers (although I did do a bit of wiki browsing for 40k after reading one interesting crossover). Do you think that's enough for following and enjoying the story?

    Yup. You'll do just fine. A little wikiagic for a few things, but it's pretty heavily character driven.

    The entire Black Library arc could be cut and this story would go up a full star. The story starts out stronger than it finishes, really peaking around Ranshu in my opinion. Everything after that is fairly alright, it's a great time waster and ill keep reading until the end but I think it deserves it's place in Almost Recommended.
