Hahah nice. But I'm still just gonna keep on playing every cliche-ridden RPG that Bio-Ware comes out with.

 

Yeah, no doubt. I just thought it was amusing. There's very ideas that haven't been used to death, it's more about the backstory and how they fill in the cliches that interests me.

Kind of disgusting how we all seem to hate soul bonds but can tolerate them in some instances.

 

Meh, in these games the bond is part of a big awesome storyline, so it's ok.
In fanfiction, soul bonds are used by teenagers who wish that there was no effort involved in love, that they would just find their perfect partner and be happy forever.

 

There's enough differentation to keep me entertained with them. Maybe you'd call them tropes instead of cliches?
