I wasn't in the game where you were healer, Aekiel. I was in the game where you tried to lynch my for several days and were scum.

They also allowed you to see the true guilt inherent in the role of Acolyte, Zeit.

    It wasn't so much your voting but the way you were behaving in the thread (vehemence with me, bro). You have to admit that you weren't the best Acolyte in that game, no offence. Besides, it was a safeguard in case I died: I wasn't sure if I had killed the last, remaining Witch (who was Rehio), and if Rehio wasn't guilty, you were the next suspect. Irene and Vira were both more innocent-seeming than you. I had to give away my info as vigilante before my death. >.<;;;

In retrospect, I shouldn't have attacked you as I did. I call it a case of our mutual spats and our tendency to be drawn to each other, lol.

Aekiel, again good point but I'd argue that in a game like this with three different scum factions, the presumed common goal of a few scum will be harder to spot than ever, especially on the first day. So while I see your point, I still think the Boy King lynch gives us the greatest benefit.

Ah, guess I'm misremembering then. Too many games, and my memory sucks at the best of times.

Still, we have Zeitgeist's testimony to add to mine. Perhaps it's simply a matter of some players using different tactics to you, Fiat, showing up better on the scumdar through voting patterns. If that's the case then there is some benefit in group lynching than allowing the Boy King to do it for us.

Like I said, it's not cast iron proof, but it can help in narrowing down those who may be scum to a few individuals, which is necessary for roles like the Kingslayer or the Warden of the West.

Which is why you specifically cited...my voting record, specifically that dealing with me voting to lynch Lungs - a bandwagon you started - as evidence.

    Right.

Also: yeah, not the best Acolyte, but I question how the fuck anyone else would have been any better. There was no point where me coming forward with "hey, I'm the Acolyte" would have been useful in any way. If I'd done so pre-reveal and advocated lynching Knee, killing Lutris would have only been an issue of looking for people who were anti-knee that hadn't backed down like you. If I'd done so after Lutris revealed...what the fuck would have been the point? No one questioned his claim.

Fair enough, dhulli, though I think I'm going to stick to my guns (swords?) on this. I prefer having as much information gained per day as possible to what is essentially putting the fate of the town in one man's hands. That way, even if we lynch an innocent person, we still have evidence (no matter how spotty it may be) of who wanted that person dead.

This is especially true of scum lurkers, who can hide in the shadows while the Boy King lynches someone, whereas with a group lynch we can at least see who was lurking, who jumped in on the bandwagon, etc. We have 48 hour days this game, so there's no excuse for people lurking while discussion like this is going on.

Hence why picking some of them (at this point, people who are known for lurking) and saying 'hey, say things so you don't get killed' is a good idea?

I definitely think it's about 500% better than 'draw name out of hat' -> 'lead lynch train on that person'.

Kingslayer Kill (Vigilante), Warden Kill (DoB), and Hound Lynch (Desperado).

Will edit into rules to make exceedingly clear.

EDIT: Also forgot Boy King Lynch.

(replying now to this since lutris posted what I wanted him to!)

To be fair, you kind of picked 6 people in a 13 player game after 3 innocents were dead.

So hitting 2 witches with 'vote analysis' is kind of expected if you use the power of votes to say over half the players in the game might be witches.

    --

Anyway, with the debunking of flimsy evidence out of the way, here is why we should go with Judge lynch d1.

Instead of having 'voting records' of day 1 which is essentially a random lynch, people could campaign for someone else to be lynched? Additionally, because the scum factions are 4,3,2, one scum faction could definitely jump on the bandwagon of someone who, in their eyes is 'innocent' (or at least, not on their team'.

And it has the added benefit of cleanly killing the Young Queen. Which is a +ev town thing since someone who survives a standard lynch is 100% one of the following roles:

-Young Queen (town) (can't be killed)
-Sellsword (town) (can be killed next day)
-Wintefell players (3 scum) (can be killed the next day)
-Mother of Dragons (1 scum) (can't be killed)

So, a 4 in 6 chance that someone survives a lynch is scum, and 3 of those scum will die, while 1 townie will die to a relynch the next day. If they survive two consecutive lynches, then they are either the MoD or the Young Queen. And I'm sure you can appreciate that accidently thinking that the Young Queen is the MoD would be a disaster (and would likely entertain the MoD/any obs greatly).

Now, fast forward to a judge lynch.

    -Sellsword (town)
    -Wintefell players (3 scum)
    -Mother of Dragons (1 scum)

4/5 chance that someone who survives a judge lynch is scum. 3 of those scum will die to a relynch, while 1 townie will. The only role that will survive a relynching after a judge lynch is the MoD, and having a 100% mechanically confirmed MoD PRIOR to soulsteals (or whatever) going out is so so incredible fantastic.

Also, if it isn't clear by now - If anyone survives a lynch in this ruleset I 110% support them getting lynched again the next day.

Question for Lutris: Does Boy King Lynch role reveal? All this talk of him lynching might be dangerous for his health.

The Boy King will declare his Lynch target from within his QuickTopic.

    Oh, and that reminds me.

Gotcha. I think I'll change it to a deadline lynch instead, too.

No Lynch is unique enough that as long as it's understandable (read:BOLD letters) I'm willing to let it slide.

    Otherwise, make it clear.

    Vote Tally so far:

    jwlk: 1 (0+1) | Vesvius (D)
    Aekiel: 1 (0+1) | Custer (D)
    Custer: 1 (0+1) | Aekiel (D)
    Taure: 1 (1+0) | Moridin
    Nemrut: 1 (0+1) | Zeitgeist (D)

    No Lynch
    : 2 | KaiDASH, dhulli

    Ignored Votes:
    Moridin (1+0) | Taure

7 Players have voted out of 26 Population (25 + 1 Direwolf). 14 Votes are needed for a majority. The Boy King may decide the Lynch starting at the next hour mark, since less than 9 Players have voted. (26/3 = 8.7 = 9)

Note that I will not be explicitly stating Direwolf in the vote tallies starting at the Night 1 announcement, and only counting population. Keep track of the numbers yourselves regarding it from now on.

EDIT: Dammit stop voting moments after I post a tally! D8

You overlooked the fact that our young King can supersede Dany's lynch protection. Of course, a dead dragon is still a good thing, I suppose. I don't know how Lutris will treat the survival of Winterfell players because of the wolf's death.

Say what you want, but vote analysis helped me in tinyhunt, and it definitely would have helped in SW1. Sure, this game is definitely different from the other games (multiple mafias), but voting patterns are still one weapon in my tool shed. Like Aekiel said, it's about different playing styles. For me, I like looking at the voting history, because it elucidates things for me. For often than not, I don't have the time to read through the tl;dr of other players, and something like "who voted for who" cuts through the fat.

But if you insist, we can give the lynch decision to a liege. I'll have plenty of time to accrue voting histories later, assuming that this isn't a repeated occurrence. Anyway, I'm going to register my vote for a lurker. Consider this my nomination of a lurker for "King Joffrey's inspection". (The mocking directed at the King if the Imp is lynched. T.T)

    Deadline Vote: Nemrut

Hmm, since the king is safe.
    Rescind vote

I'd ask that I not be killed since I'm one of the following: The Maiden, The Imp's Wife, or The Whore.
Posting from a phone sucks, btw.

Lutris edited in that after I had made my post so it wasn't me forgetting, it was lutris not giving me the correct info at the time.

Anyway, with the boy king killing MoD, I see absolutely 0 reason to not let them lynch d1 and possibly d2 as well.

People can still run lynch trains or whatever, and we can keep unofficial vote tallies so that you and aekiel can have your voting reference thing. And then the boy king can kill whoever seems most scummy.

Well, you've pretty much guaranteed the Hand is going to investigate you now, if only for the chance of you being the Imp's Wife. So I guess I'll rescind my vote. If you're lying and scum, the Hand will know. If you're innocent then we've got at least one confirmed pro-town player. So...

    Rescind Vote
    Deadline Vote: Nemrut

I've got no one else to go on at the moment, since Custer is the only one who stood out from the crowd to me and he's provided evidence that he's probably pro-town. So I'll go for a lurker, and I've made clear my point on not having someone group lynched.
