No, no, I get the suspicion, Azira, I just don't get the connection. Why would VIra being innocent make me guilty? Why would me being guilty make Vira innocent?

    Vote Player: Bill Door

Do we have enough votes? Because it'd be nice to have a long twilight.

BillDoor, why not vote for Vira? We could try to get her lynched. What on earth makes you vote for Custer? o.o

Well, not like anything I say makes a difference at this point, but he's been more suspicious to me in this game.

Hmm, I wonder if I can make an argument that four of the votes on me don't count due to a lack of the space in my name.

Well. The obvious answer is probably that he's scum, and she's scum, so he picked someone else. Pretty sure this bumps Custer up to a green read for me, anyways.

    - - -

As to why I haven't been targeted yet, well. Could be a couple things. I was actually suspected by some people after day one, and maybe even day two. And then day three, there was the very real thread of doc protection, so they looked elsewhere. Which didn't work so well, obviously.

Plus, there's the whole thing where I'm basically a confirmed vanilla role. I'm not the priest, or the doc, so they probably are shooting in the dark trying to find those. Probably.

    @Custer

Well. Docs can't protect themselves. Or yeah, I'd probably just make myself invulnerable, which would be a little imbalanced! It's going to be a case of player vs. role for the scum to choose from, going forwards. What do they deem to be more of a threat? Analysis and pressure, or a damning guilty check/a kill bouncing off a protected target?

I just counted, we have seven votes for Bill Door, which is the majority, so there's no taking back votes and lynching me.

Well really happy that we have one down, and a confirmed townie in Sesc.

Not really too sure how much I agree with Eido's analysis of Schrodinger, like I said before he kept bringing up questions as to why he was considered slightly suspicious and I don't know why scum would want to draw attention to themselves. And the whole wanting to lynch Ollie thing doesn't really seem like a big deal to me since enough people were going down that route. Just see it a bit differently from my point of view I guess

---------- Post automerged at 05:37 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:36 PM ----------

The Bill Door vote, I agree with but looks like I am too late for it to matter, but whatever the outcome, I am just saying that I would have supported the vote.

So, uh, if we reached majority now, do we wait for Zeit to reveal his role & stop talking and then have the full time available to us at time of majority for twilight discussion (LOL)? Or do we keep talking and hope that Zeit posts quickly enough that we get to have a long twilight still? I'm just a bit confused about that.

    Well. I dunno.

I'd imagine keep talking. Just cover the various possibilities?

Like, I see three different scenarios:

    1.) Bill flips town.
    2.) Bill flips roleblocking scum.
    3.) Bill flips non-roleblocking scum.

In all three events, I think we'd approach the night/next day very slightly differently. I don't really see #1 happening at this point, but the latter two are interesting.

If Bill flips as the roleblocker, then I think... I'd like a cop reveal during twilight, and the doc to protect them for the rest of game (or at least make it pretty likely that you'd protect them.... Wine, etc). Then again, maybe not. The whole players vs. role thing. But it 'would' be awfully nice to get another townfirm, especially if it ends up coming from that mess of...6 names, now, that I have orange/yellow.

If Bill flips as the hand, then we're in really good shape, because it means our last two scum both check guilty. A cop reveal might be worth it tomorrow during the day in that scenario, if they have innocent checks on people that would narrow down our list of suspects greatly.

If Bill flips as vanilla scum, well, bleh. We basically continue on as we have, hitting someone new tomorrow, probably Vira based on how she's acting.

I have a vague plan in the works that....would probably win the game, but be sort of unfun? Going to think it over a little bit. Open setups with roleflip on death are prone to gamebreaking with mass role claims, and bleh.

@Sesc: I had class and then had to monitor the Wards. Skin lesions ftw. >_> And yes, technically what happens is that Twilight starts the moment a consensus is reached. So yeah... You guys did lose a sizeable amount of Twilight time because I have a life. I'll recompense you with a fair amount: the Night will start three hours later than usual. How about that? You probably don't need all that Twilight time to discuss, though...

7 votes needed to send a denizen to the Echo Firing Range
Yet to vote: CheddarTrek, Krogan, LochNess

    ---

    Day 4 has entered Twilight.

    We have a confirmed death....

We reached consensus. The Echo Base has chosen to send Bill Dawes to the Shooting Range. As a blizzard - Hoth's roar, some claim - bristles outside, the younger Rebels congregate, watching the scene of carnage in subdued horror. Spittle flying from his mouth, Bill denies the charges against him and struggles against his bonds.

On the periphery of the whispering crowd, the leaders of the Alliance observes the proceedings. Garm Bel Iblis, silent and tall, says nothing.

Grim with conviction, the would-be executioners dismiss their apprehension, shaking their heads. They raise their blasters. The sound of energy bolts pierce the silence, as Bill chokes and falls over the durasteel floor, lifeless. The dark burnish of the Empire's badge flutters out of his pocket...

It appears that Bill was loyal to the Galactic Empire, the Courier of an ASN Utility Droid! He had been plotting the end of a Rebellion's question for justice, but his evil deeds will be no more...

    Twilight has started.

Twilight is the frame of time between a successful "lynching" (in this case, choosing someone for execution at the Echo Base shooting range) and the natural conclusion of the day. In twilight, you may still post and discuss anything that has happened. However, you cannot vote to have anyone else to receive an Echo Base execution.

Posting is now permitted in this thread until 02:00AM EST on May 8, 2012

Only the following (12) individuals have permission to post in this thread:

Ash, Aziraphale, CheddarTrek, Custer, Eidolonic, Jeram, Krogan, LochNess, Merrill II (Original Creator), Schrodinger, Sesc, Vira, and Zeitgeist (Host).

Graveyard: Riley Poole (Jedi Knight), Gambit (Rebel), Aekiel (Rebel), Kalas (Imperialist), Bill Door (ASN Utility Droid (via a Courier))

Because it's the worst time, timezone-wise, for Twilight to be had?

I dunno. But I do know who I think would be the Probe. I guess they're asleep as well.

In any case, should the doctor decide not to protect me, then you lynch Vira tomorrow without me, or I'm going to lose my shit >_>
    And after that, try Aziraphale.

    Awesome. Roleblocker dead.

I wouldn't 100% object to a cop reveal, but maybe that can wait until tomorrow. There's only one scum left that actually checks guilty at this point (the other one remaining does not), so it is greatly reduced in power.

Getting unhappier with Cheddar and Krogan, both who didn't vote for either of the scum we lynched.

I don't... have any null reads anymore, so that's something. Everyone is either town or scummy. I also don't have anyone I 100% want dead, dead, dead, either. Vira gives me a slight derp town vibe, but unless she rr's as a power role early tomorrow, I don't... object to her getting lynched. Might as well do one of my pretty read walls to let my opinions be known. As always, in order from strongest town read to strongest scum:

    Eidolonic
    Sesc
    LochNess
    Ash
    Custer

    Cheddar
    Krogan
    Schrodinger
    Azira
    Vira
    Jeram

---------- Post automerged at 07:53 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:49 AM ----------

Basically, I think there's near zero chance of one of my green names being scum. The 2 remaining ones are almost certainly in that bottom list of 6 orange. If you are one of those 6, and you are town - remember that WE don't know that you're town, but it puts you in the position where you know that there's only 5 people the scum can possibly be.

And by scum hunting and doing quality analysis, maybe you can raise yourself out of the orange, and them into the red.

Sorry for the slightly less posting than expected guys -- I had to go out of town and computer usage is less than expected.

Replace me again if needed, I had expected to be able to use the computer regularly while here (like usual). But I will keep trying to get on when I can.

Use your best judgement in terms of replacing out, I suppose? How long will you have limited access, etc.

Twilight ends in ~an hour, so we don't have much discussion time left.

Cop: You know the drill. Orange list, people on it you haven't checked, etc. Consider revealing tomorrow.

Doc: I could be a selfish dick and ask to be protected, but I won't. Use your best judgement, but definitely pick one of the 'green' names.

Smuggler: If I were the smuggler, I'd target Jeram when I died, since he's my most suspicious person, but isn't in line for a lynch at the moment. Take that as you will!

Mafia: Click here for your strategy.

So tomorrow is a good time for cop reveal, but not the doc. Since The Hand still shows up as a Rebel, please post a full list.
