My bank lets me make Virtual CC whose balance is derived from my account. Getting Payapl to work in India is hard now. A few years ago it was a piece of cake.

    Also, forgot to post this:

Maybe you should look into the other Paypal-alikes that Steam supports, like MoneyBookers and ClickandBuy. That might be another option.

Also, in New Zealand, it's possible to buy a pre-paid debit card. See if that's an option, too.

Also, here's a general tip for the people who have to pay currency conversion fees every time they buy something on Steam:

Use Steam Wallet. Cuts down on costs hugely during sales, especially if you're buying multiple copies of a game.

I know but I never needed them till now. The problem that came up was unexpected.

I am a student. Don't have cash. Which leads me back to the same problem of asking parents for cash and having to tell 'em its for games.

I should have done this weeks ago then. :( I have like 2 bucks in the wallet right now. I had to add money to it to buy from Mann Co store to make my TF2 P2P. And minimum deposit was 5 bucks.

I do have till the 23rd. I am going to the bank tomorrow. Hopefully the problem is resolved then. :D

Also, since we don't have a seperate thread for it, I am playing L4D2 these days. Played with pdo yesterday. If anyone else wants, they can join me aswell. :D

From Dust is a beautiful puzzle-god thing. Anno 2070 is serene and beautiful as fuck and a damn good city-builder. Payday: The Heist is fucking fantastic. Space Marine is roughly worth the current price.

Someone is not going to survive this summer sale...

I just bought diablo 3(Which is a major letdown so far) so I'll try to stay away from this sale, or at the very least just buy the best ones.

Edit: And...I didn't last very long...

I was looking forward to From Dust's initial release, but an influx of reviews criticising its frustratingly inaccurate interface and the AI/path finding of your worshippers has kept me away. I'd consider playing if those two issues have been patched.

Anno 2040 was initially fun to play, but it didn't take long for me to get bored of it. It became all about micro-managing production chains and shipping trade routes. I've felt no desire to go back to it. 2070 is going to have to be a lot cheaper before I take a gamble on it.

2070 is not all that different... actually all the Anno's are sort of like that. After a while your increasingly massive cities need more and more stuff and the production chains get more complex and you get very bored. They had some cool things in this though like the daily missions and the bigger I think monthly ones and the voting. Combat is still simple as hell though so mostly its just build stuff.

I recall something on the DayZ website about the Amazon version not being recommended. Double check that it works okay first.

Pretty sure it works, people on Amazon have reviewed the mod. The problems are

    a) can't activate on steam,
    b) some people have trouble downloading from Amazon

Regardless, I am still holding out for a better daily sale on steam.

Also, I got the bank hassle solved but prolly wont spend much. Got myself Half Life 2 and the episodes for now. Never got around to playing them.

Portal 2 is on the vote for the community sale Oz. I voted for it, gogo everyone and help Oz get his game!

Edit: Warhammer seems to be a good game, especially if the universe they created is as big and it seems like.

Gotta see if I can get around to play the whole franchise.

Voted for Portal 2, though it is unlikely it will win. Anyone who wanted it for 75% off got it already.

On the other hand, if Half Life 2 wins I am going to rage. I just got it... lol it's been less than 24 hours.

    I don't know how everyone doesn't have HL2 and L4D2 yet.

Did you get Dawn of War or Space Marine? because they're very different. In general Warhammer 40K games aren't made by the same people all the time, sort of how Dark Millenium is going to be a shit game even though DoW I and II were amazing.
