    Most likely. Wasting Light (the album Walk is on) came out in 2010. That leaves Harry with his only option pretty much being hearing it while on a ghostly stroll. Either that or Mab is a massive fan of the Foo Fighters.

    The reference was pretty jarring, honestly. Though possibly because I'm familiar with it. I mind pop-culture references that fly over my head less than those that I notice...

    I was super excited to see the new chapter was up...

    ...until I remembered that I'd already read it a few times at the back of a Ghost Story paperback. I think it had the first 2 chapters? So a bit longer before I get to new material. Gives me time to re-read Ghost Story though, which remains the only Dresden novel I haven't read more than once (tried to read it a second time but got distracted halfway through and ended up reading Dead Beat for the millionth time).

    I had to look up the pop culture reference. They don't bother me too much since I almost never get them, and I just file them as "Harry makes a pop culture reference" in my head. It's just one of those things he does.

    Looking forward to reading Chapter 2 again. I remember liking that one... and Chapter 3 shall be new and glorious!

    I couldn't even do that. No doubt this is a conspiracy against Australians. I feel horribly slighted. Especially because I didn't check if the chapters were there when I bought the paperback and thought I'd somehow lost part of the book when I got home. :facepalm

    I promised myself I wouldn't read them. I swore that I'd savour the anticipation, that it would be worth the wait for the Awesome that Cold Days would be.

    That promise lasted about half a second after I saw the link.

    I continue to be stunned at how much retailers selling digital goods go out of their way to try to stop you from buying digital media legally.

    Though I have an Amazon UK account and a UK bank account and card, apparently I'm unable to buy UK digital media from Chile -_-

    ... I'm sure there's a way around it. Time to look for a third party site with the Kindle .exe.

    I'm not sure why anyone on this site wouldn't read the preview chapters... We're all fanfiction readers, and thus used to getting stories chapter by chapter!
