When does this season end? I hadn't realized it was coming up soon, but then again, I wasn't really paying too much attention.

 

After August or around then. Lats seasons they delayed it a lot, so there's debate but it's definitely after august but before September ends.

Just played a few normals to get used to SR again before fixing my inactivity LP drop and holy mother of fuck. Now I remember why I started playing ARAM almost exclusively.

First game was an utter stomp. Enemy team had no coordination at all, team comp was stupid with GP mid, Udyr top, Darius jungling and Vayne Lulu bot. I missed a bunch of snares as Zyra but still set up a bunch of kills for Cait. Darius is too busy farming jungle while Lee Sin wrecks mid and top and we steamroll bot, getting a surrender at 25.

Second game, I'm on the other side. I recognize the ADC's name and it's a bad feeling. We nearly get invaded on red but enemy Blitz mid backs off and Nid support just lays down traps to annoy us. However, Zac camps bot, my Ez eats a shit ton of spears and we're stuck at lvl 1 minutes while they pull ahead to 3 and 4. Furthermore, he's building Blue Ezreal and starts with the regen portions, gimping his damage further. At around 20 minutes Ez is something like 2-6 and I'm 0-1. Udyr blames me for dying to a bad engage when I get caught warding while Ez is making shitty trades. I don't blame him for not relieving pressure bot because he was (unsuccessfully) ganking mid, but what the fuck. In Soviet League, jungler blames you?
I'm landing better snares but Udyr tries to chase Nidalee through lane brush when he ganks and gets kited by Corki and Zac goes to town on Ez. We catch people out one by one and take mid inhib but instead of taking other open inhibs because herp derp respawn timers, they try to close out too early. Enemy takes baron off of that and Udyr disconnects so we lose mid, but they dawdle around the jungle, giving us enough time to push back. Game slogs on and we win because more AOE, better tanking and follow through.

Fuck Blue Ezreal.

 

Just read this and thought i'd share it. Seems a little useful and to helps to explain when you get tunnel vision on your own skills and fail to understand how you can be so good (at the parts of the match you watch) and still not be a better division than you are.

Been playing like mad, trying to get enough IP for some champs and maybe some runes, as well as get levels before the tourney.
I have to say, playing at low levels again is equal parts frustrating and hilarious. I had forgotten about that.

 

Nice summation post, definitely more a logical player, I know as my solo laning is pretty terrible, something I hope to rectify in time.

Up in the air with what I want to do with my IP. I just got a full set of mixed pen runes, so now I'm broke - and I'm not sure if I want flat CDR blues or another kind of... rune I'd probably buy for just a few champions/uses (probably AS blues), or more rune pages. I'm on 13 already but still feel like I need more... Well, of a spread. I could probably erase some of the ones I don't use but knowing my luck, I'd want to play the champion/set-up again.

Hell, I have a support Zyra and a support Lulu page but I haven't touched them in weeks, though I might keep the Lulu one for Nami games, maybe invest in some mana regen somewhere.

 

I just played a bot 3v3 to test out cait, whom I almost never play.
My teammates were khazix and nidalee. Khazix only farmed jungle, never came to any lane and nidalee just stood at the spider pit dancing, all the while telling me how bad I am and what a noob I am.
It's been a while since I've had such an anger inducing game.

I like to play custom 1v3s personally, tho intermediate bots might screw that.

 

I lost. I went as far as getting an inhibitor by myself, but I couldn't 1v3 full build sivir+swain+shen.
These guys never went after any kind of objectives. Not the altars, not towers, not protecting our own towers, nothing.
It would have been very funny if it had happened to anyone other than myself, so I'm assuming it would be funny to you guys.

Edit: To be honest, I kind of failed my items early game and died a couple times 1v1 with sivir and swain.

 

Sometimes having no allies is better than having shitty ones lmao.

 

My friend made me play ranked with him and now I am in Silver IV (Fiora's Highwaymen). I hate playing ranked because I don't find it much different than regular. People still suck and rage except everyone takes it all more seriously because they track it. Do I have to play ranked a lot to keep it?

 

Yep. 28 days of not playing ranked costs you 10 LP, and every 7 days after that.

 

I like that post from Wildfeather, interesting take on the different players in League. After talking with Fenraellis, Kellros, Deakyvia, and Great Dullahan, we all decided that Elitist and Oblivious should be added in there, and you've basically covered all the types haha.

As for commentary on that reddit post, there are parts that really struck a chord. For example, Fenraellis and I are not bad players, but we are both certainly logical players. We have tried on multiple occasions to duo ranked games, but we rarely win. On the other hand, Kellros is more of a technical player and when he and I duo, we rarely lose.

In fairness, Kaemrynn, while I would rate myself as more of a 'shade of gray' than, say, Kellros, I personally think I have more 'technical' leanings. If nothing else, I have that focus on playing a more carry role than a support/supervisory one. That sense of confidence of beating a particular opponent, even if it sometimes decreases awareness of the match as a whole. (I do buy wards consistently, by now, though... so that's something)

Then again, that mentioned confidence might just be my shade of optimism that helps keep me going even if my team appears to be losing.

Perhaps you're right though, since I often seem to work better with Kellros than I do with you. You and I win lane(or at least the lane I'm in, if you're jungle) the majority of the time, but the game as a whole can often be a toss-up.

What does that make Deakyvia, then, since you two argue a bunch? I wouldn't place him with a logic leaning. Maybe siblings break the system and just shouldn't duo-queue, eh?

 

Kellros and I were actually talking about whether or not we would truly place you as a logical or technical player, so it's a bit of a toss-up. And thank god you have actually been buying wards, that makes things so much easier.

And I do agree, you win your lane (unless you decide to pick tank Veigar into Morgana...), just something about the game as a whole that doesn't seem to go quite right.

Alec and I weren't meant to duo together, it just doesn't work. We disagree on too many things; but as you said, he's no logical player, we're just siblings. :awesome

 

Is there a reason AI matches are harder in NA than in EU?
Maybe it's the fact that I don't have runes or masteries, but it can't be enough to make me and my teams struggle to beat bots in NA, and when I jump to my EU account it's piss poor easy.
