Nope. I use the Naruto Osts quite heavily when I'm writing.

Three lists: Emotional (Maisou, Shirohae); Fighting (Shouryuu, Nakou Furaku, Shikku, Kokuten); whacky stuff (Dokushinjutsu, Genshi, and most of the Akatsuki songs)

And The Hidden Will to Fight when I'm writing scenes leading up to a fight. Can't forget that one. Itunes tells me I played that one 227 times already.

 

Huh. The first opening has team 7 fighting bandits or something. It does look interesting is it from anime itself? I don't really remember that.

Also Naruto and Sauske brofisting. heh.

I listen to OSTs a lot in general. My OST playlist probably has the most plays out of all of my various genre playlists. Though there's only 3 Naruto tracks in there now, used to listen to the rest of the OST a lot more back in the day.

None of the Japanese OSTs really stood out visually to me. Music wise, I know I enjoyed Rocks once upon a time, and really loved the Sambomaster OP once upon a time. The first Shippuden OP also gets a few plays here and there.

But dear god the German local OP is godawful. And here I thought the American one was bad....

I listen exclusively to Naruto OPs whenever I play Zed in LOL.

It...it feels right.

 

I'm partial to quite a few OP's and ED's. Like :

Far Away
No Boy No Cry

And Seishun Kyosokyoku always gives me a The Pillows vibe

Oh, and the animation for the Shippuden ED 32 is epic.

Fusion isn't supposed to be "these two characters happen to have the same names as another universe's characters." There's zero real Naruto in there. Quite frankly I'd believe it was Harry and Ron over Naruto and Sasuke.

Wind is my favourite ED.

 

Just finished reading it; really enjoyed the psychological reflection and the slow building of characters. The writing is clumsy in some places, but otherwise somewhat poignant.

Does the story still hold up in plot to when it was first written? I'm unsure how much the Naruto world has moved on because I haven't caught up with canon entirely.

Are there any other good psychologically-focused stories? The topic of how much Kyuubi could influence the mind and potentially fuck up Naruto's psyche is an itch I've always wanted to scratch some more.

 

I haven't looked for anything new in the fandom in what feels like six months, and the only thing that really comes to mind is an earlier post of mine which I haven't had to break out in some time now. Link

Find and replace and I think it could easily be an "HP" fusion as well.

 

So, Clarity, the sequel to maybe the longest SI story I have read, has just been finished, quite abruptly, mind you. It didn't so much end, as it just stopped, which came a bit out of nowhere, though. I didn't feel like we were anywhere near the end, at least it didn't feel like that to me.

Unless I misunderstood something, but the A/N were pretty clear on that. There might be a few shorter stories and whatnot, but ultimately, this story is finished. Huh.

I mean, I had fun the last two chapters, a lot of fun,in fact, and I am tempted to reread the whole thing, but man, I sure hope that wasn't the actual end.

What did you guys think?

 

IIRC there was an AN where the author said she'd basically grown tired of writing it, and wanted to move on, so she was just going to finish it off. It's not up anymore, but I definitely saw something along those lines.

 

Say, I'm pretty sure it's come up before, but do we know of any decent fics where Orochimaru remains loyal?

 

Probably not at all what you're looking for, but IIRC Fuzzy Logic has that.
