Well.... that depends, they ARE Japanese players... so they're more polite about things.

Also, people don't have the shield of anonymity to hide behind as their avatars got reset to their naturally appearances, and there isn't anywhere to run or hide if you piss people off.

More than that, there is the matter that if you died in game, you died for real. No redos, just machine microwaving your brain with a destructive scan.

So I'm going to say 'Too good to be true' is a thing. You probably fell into the same trap Taylor did and assumed the best foot forward Lung displayed for Taylor's benefit was all there was to her. Something with how I wrote it? I built Lung up for the sole purpose of exposing it as fake and tearing her down. The exposing has started to happen, and its all downhill from here.

So, Journey of the Dragonfly finished its whole interlude arc and is going on a short hiatus. A shame that -- I was getting quite fond the daily updates. Oh, well. Kyushu and Leviathan await us in the next arc. Probably a lot of international politics too.

How do you guys keep track of when stories update on SB? I just keep an eye on this thread and have a folder of bookmarks I check every few days.

That was the single most useful thing SB/SV has ever done.

 

We need that alert-when-op-posts option for our own wba. Never checked the sign up for alerts because I didn't want to get inundated by a sheaf of sb shit posts.

 

Didn't they make it so it only alerts when a threshold wordcount is passed too? Makes it great for following stories.

 

They did, but it's a pretty low threshold, only like 150 words or something like that, so it's fairly common to get alerts anytime the author responds and not just when a new chapter comes out. Still a good feature though.

 

Anyone know if Ryuugi has written any more snippets since this was posted last year?
