This new Tavern Brawl is amazing!!

In my first game I managed to get double Thaddius and my opp who played as KT also got Thaddius but I had shadow word: Death to handle him.

I don't know which to pick between Reno and Thalnos. I'm leaning towards Thalnos because of the card draw and hopefully spells but then again I might need Reno's healing. Why couldn't this had been the last pick!

    *Edit*

    Frak it, I'm picking Thalnos.

I very well could have because I only took 2 copies of 2 minions but I wasn't offered card draw which made taking Thalnos crucial. Here is the final deck:

    *EDIT*

I went 4-3. In my first 5 games, 4 were against mage and I got rekt in 2 of them but dished out some rough love of my own in the other 2 games. The only non-mage game was against hunter and he fell without much fight. The last 2 games were rogue(won) and mage(lost).

Face hunter. Double explosive, double unleash.

Freeze mage is great against flood versions.

    Midrange Pally outvalues it.

Patron Warrior kind of shits all over it.

After almost two hours of nonstop Brawling I finally see Rafam win once!

And that was only made possible because that 5 mana 5/5 that replaces all minions with others of the same cost managed to get rid of the insane value minions that KT can field.

I've played 8 games and 3 of them as Rafam. Won 2 of Rafam with an 8 mana deathwing that my hero power gave me early.

EDIT; Translated my broken English into something readable.

KT seems easy mode, but Rafaam more fun. I'm 4-0, 2 wins each. Getting Aviana and buffing her with Rafaam's (the card) +10/10 - such skill.

It sounds really fun in theory but actually really, really bad in practice. Unreliable, unpredictable and the -1 mana cost isn't that impactful.

N'zoth I like more, though he too appears to be too slow. Still, gonna spawn some fun decks.

In wild, I'm thinking reno paladin, with reno, healbot, lay on hands, and the new 20 heal spell - in addition to high value deathrattles. Shredder, Shredder #2, the new loot hoarder maybe, Belcher, Sylvanas, Tirion.

That's a pretty ok win condition after you heal for 60. Plop down a 5/7 body that fills the board with sticky, hard to handle things.

I just don't get non-lock Reno decks. What value are you getting from him without life tap?

I suppose mage is okay too, if you use ice block and force an over commit.

The value is going to face instead of needing to trade for board control. Reno makes it really difficult for anyone to race you, because you have so much HP. In the dream scenario above, Paladin has up to 60 hp. At that point, your opponent's board basically doesn't matter, because they have to do like 3 damage to every 1 you do to them. Playing cards that 2 for 1 and answers just means your opponent spends resources either trying to race you (they can't) or trying to out-value your cards (very difficult).
