Questions about future
1. Is Sarrisa more loyal to Mab or to Titania now that she is the new summer lady? 2. Why Titania would accept Sarrisa as summer lady being the daughter of her deadly rival Mab, and not kill her and give the summer lady power to the person she wishes? 3. Is like having Sarrisa as summer lady like making the Summer Court as a vassal to Winter Court.

Wyldfae Mantles
So, I have a purely theoretical question. It's never addressed in the books, and as far as I can tell, there is no WoJ on the subject. Can the Wyldfae that are explicitly stated to be as powerful (or close to as powerful) as the Queens have Knights? Not do they, as it either hasn't been addressed yet or doesn't exist, but COULD they? All opinions welcome.

OC Dresden Stories
So, I haven't had much luck finding many of these on Fanfiction, and was wondering if you folks had any recommendations. To clarify, I mean a story that takes place in the Dresden Files universe, but doesn't involve ANY of the main characters in a more than a minimal role. It seems like, with JB's fantastic worldbuilding, this would be more of a thing.

Silver, Monsters, and You.
Heyo. Just a quick question for any hardened Dresdenites out there. I'm currently working on an OC fanfic that features Red Court vampires, and I wondered if anybody knew about the exact nature of silver as it related to things other than the loup-garou. I seem to recall it needing to be inherited silver to have an effect, but does that rule also apply to vampires? Hell, for that matter, does any kind of silver, inherited or not, work on Red Court vamps? Thank you in advance.

Dresden/Multiverse Crossover
Hey guys, I just read Water Mage's Theories About Nuclear Winter and it got me thinking. Now, in Water Mage's story the Potter universe is connected to the Dresdenverse via the Outsider's dimension and the Gatekeeper already told us he had suspicions about the Outsider's trying to get to other Worlds and Universes. So if we work on that assumption, that means that every possible Universe, fictional or otherwise, can be connected to the Dresdenverse, and every other one, and by extension the...

Drabble Vomit Thread
We have this thread already, but I thought that there is no problem with having one just for DF in its own subforum. Also, a warning - COLD DAYS SPOILERS in this one. The Empty Night I looked at the night sky and it was empty. No stars or even Moon. Nothing but a darkness. The only source of light was ahead of my boat, on a small island hidden from the world. The last bastion of humanity. The Demonreach. It was once a prison for the worst monsters of this...

Iron Druid Chronicles
Bonjour, mi amigos. As an avid follower of the Dresden Files, I found it hard to read any other books of the same caliber. During a recent foray to the B&N, I came across a book with the tagline: "It may be possible that Hearne and Atticus are the logical heir to Butcher and Dresden." - SFFWorld. It was Tricked by Kevin Hearne. So I was all :colbert: until I started checking it out. And its actually very interesting. Its about a 2,100-year-old Celtic immortal named Atticus O'Sullivan who...

Cold Days
Apologies if this has already been posted, I couldn't find it after I saw the news and figured I'd share. https://twitter.com/longshotauthor Means likely around Halloween, at least according to his forum that is what Butcher is pushing to happen. But a possible Winter release exists also. Anyway, cheers! Glad to hear it's finally written.

Upcoming DF short stories
Here's some news for those who haven't heard about it yet. (source) Butcher announced 4 upcoming short stories: A trilogy of short stories with linked characters in which Bigfoot is Dresden’s client: B is for Bigfoot - set between Fool Moon and Grave Peril, published in Under My Hat: Tales from the Cauldron I Was A Teenage Bigfoot - set around the time of Dead Beat, published in Blood Lite III: Aftertaste Bigfoot on Campus - set between Turn Coat and Changes, published in Hex...

Looking for a Beta.
I'm looking for a beta for my story, "Within Destruction" (link at sig). I've got about 14 chapters planned out, but it may be subject to change. I don't want someone who just tells me that everything's good, and there's nothing to improve on. My dialogue's pretty weak, and my plot isn't as intricate as I'd like. These are my main reasons to find a beta, so if you're interested, just post on this thread/drop me a PM.

The Soul, The Sale, and You!
Probably would have been better to post it in the story idea thread, since it will likely never happen in canon, but I've been having an odd thought the last couple of days, and it wont go away. I'd shoot myself in the head to teach it a lesson, but I'm deathly allergic to bullets. Anyway! Onward to greatness (Read: A horrible idea I should feel ashamed of having.): So. Einherjar. Dead dudes that got ferried off the Great Hall in the Sky. Except Nick. I mean, if you're gonna get...

Aparturum: Best Spell Ever
Please let me know if I get any of this wrong. Aparturum opens a one-sided portal into the Nevernever. The other side is transparent. The size and orientation of the portal is dependent on the caster, while the corresponding location in the Nevernever is dependent only on the location of the spell. Is this right? Ok, assuming that an Aparturum portal acts as any magical construct should, and cannot be dispelled by anything short of direct magical action, then this is the most overpowered...

Sho Tai
I was wondering if anyone noticed the comment Harry made about Sho Tai during his flashback to the warden training. He talks about a friend being a descendant of Sho Tai. here's the quote. "Mail came for you yesterday," she said, and produced a letter from a pocket. I took it, scanned the envelope, and opened it. "Hmmm." "Who is it from?" she asked. Her tone was that of one passing the time in polite conversation. "Warden Yoshimo," I said. "I had a few questions for her...

How far does Intellectus go?
Short explanation; Intellectus is the state of being very high level supernatural creatures can have. It isn't omniscience but if they think about something they know it instantly, like they always knew. Known or suspected creatures to have intellectus are Angels, Mother Winter and Mother Summer There is one caveat though. They have to know what they are searching for. But what are the limits on this? Can they pull a 'Mirror, Mirror on the wall, tell me who the fuck to kill?' or does it...

Look here...GS sucked...
I can't understand how anyone likes this book, so I'm looking for some insight. Reasons? Well I'll start out with Murphy, she's flopping around like a dead fish! She just got done wielding the Sword of God, talking with "God's own words", and all of a sudden she becomes a little bitch. She's been fighting pawns for 7 months, then all of a sudden when some little kid with a gun is in front of her she FLIPS to become nice! What? Doesn't make any since. (I've thought it through, if you have...

Dresden Files RPG Idea's
Well, I recently bought the Your Story book and ran a small adventure called Neutral Ground's which I downloaded. It proceeded a lot better than expected considering the only system the players used previously had been classic D20 3.5 Edition D&D. Unfortunately I'm finding it difficult to find a proper forum to share idea's for a campaign and relay my stories back (I'm not even sure TDF forums are great for that either). So, considering DLP introduced me to the series I thought I could...

Inez the friendly "ghost?"
Something seems odd about that one, and unless I'm mistaken Dresden never quite figures out what she is. Here's what we know about her: She doesn't quite interact with the world like a ghost (e.g. with that whole thing about her statue no longer being there while she's moving around the world). She calls Dresden a "monster," and then she cuts through Dresden's sense of self-worth with ease, leaving him believing that he really is a monster, for a time When she taps Dresden's grave...

Yes, a looking for topic.
The 'official looking for' thread will NOT let me post, because it's been more than thirty days since anyone posted in there, so before you bite my head off, take that into account. If a mod/admin could move this post into that thread, I'd appreciate it. A while ago, I was linked a fanfic by Vlad that featured Harry's daughter being inducted into the Council, and then she goes back to her mentor Molly and Molly tells her that she's Harry's daughter, and that was the end of the first...

Get Ghost Story now.
Just saw a post on Butchers forums about a site that apparently sells ebook version in ePub format right now. There are apparently programs to convert this to kindle format too. http://www.booksonboard.com/index.php?BODY=viewbook&BOOK=1058133 I think ill just wait and get it from amazon but if anyone wants the ebook a bit early, there you go.
