Many many words have been written on the subject of what form patronuses might take. I've always felt that the fandom didn't dig quite deeply enough into them and their meanings. The idea that they're some kind of manifestation of the caster's personality or happy thoughts never quite worked for me. It just seems a bit haphazard. This extends to fanfiction.
