    What are the most influential fanfics that created or popularized tropes?

    Looking for examples of fanfics that have had a major impact on the fandom community and even created entirely new tropes or subgenres. For example, Brockton's Celestial Forge is known in niche circles for spawning a whole new crafting power trope in Worm fanfiction. What other fanfics have been that influential in shaping fanfiction culture and storytelling?

    What's Your Favorite HP Fanfiction Tropes?

    I'm just curious. I have seen (not on here, but frequently on other websites) forums that feature people's least favorite tropes. Mine is Dark Harry Potter. Yes, I know that within these Harry is, essentially, an original character by everything other than name and appearance. However, I love anti heroes with a passion.     Horcrux Induced Insanity

    Decided to create a thread on this since it was in the survey and I think it's a fairly interesting topic. Do horcruxes induce insanity? If they do why is that a good element of a story, why is it a bad element? Personally I feel horcruxes don't induce insanity or perhaps more specifically, that they shouldn't induce insanity.
