Blade Runner is boring at times, but it has really great atmosphere. Total Recall, on the other hand, is 90% action, with bunch of gory scenes... Nothing boring there.

Water World and Postman are labeled as crap by both critics and audience and I generally agree with them (although the Postman isn't THAT bad).

Mad Max 1 & 2 are much better movies, both in terms of atmosphere and generall message and meaning (fate of the heroes is a general unerlying theme throughout the whole series). But yeah, Mad Max 3 was crap.

Contact didn't strike me as anything special, while Minority Report is a rather good action SF, but this once, I liked Dick's story better. Never watched Taken.

OK, Total Recall has action and a prostitute with 3 breasts, but I don't know. Have you seen the series?

Might be because I think Kevin Costner is a better actor than Mel Gibson. Ever way, I am not a big fan of those kinds of movies.

Taken is a must. I strongly recommend it, but it's 877 min long, so if you have a weekend with nothing do, rent it and enjoy.

The worst ending in a movie got to be War of the Worlds. How can you end a movie like that. The aliens got to be braindead. It's an insult to all aliens out there.

I think I saw one episode and it was crap. But the movie was still great, especially those gory action scenes.

Yeah... But than again, that novel was written back in 1880-s or something, they didn't exactly know anything about space suits back then. Of course, it was stupid of Spielberg to try and adapt it to 21st century without changing the main plot twist.

Shit, I forgot to post one of the best movies ever: In China They Eat Dogs. It's Danish, I think, but it's still great. They managed to make what seems to be standard action movie, but with a great meaning and general underlying message. You don't see that often.

The person who made Blade runner and Alien, usually makes slow movies, yet they are all great.

I saw it years ago and if I am not mistaken I saw it in school. Don't remember why we saw it, but it was an interesting and quite funny movie.

Have anyone seen “The Land Before Time”. One of my favourite movies when I was a kid. Saw it the first time with my mother on a cinema.

I'll list a few random ones i can think of right now. The full list is massive.

    Like/Love:

The Big Lebowski: I loved this movie. The first time i watched it, i thought it was hilarious. The second time, i noticed things I missed the first time around. Excellent movie.

Constantine: Thought i'd hate it, ended up loving it.

Guy Ritchie movies: Snatch and Lock, Stock & 2 Smoking Barrels. Excellent mix of comedy and action, and the Tarantino-effect was simply awesome.

Tarantino movies: (Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs) Brilliantly made movies, with amazing stories and great acting.

Airplane and Caddyshack(1!!!) classic comedies, with bags full of laughs. All time favorites.

Clint Eastwood Westerns: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, For a Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More...you catch my drift.

Also, Dirty Harry movies, all five of them. They are pretty damn cool...and seeing a magnum create ketchup-splats is absolutely priceless if you ahve nothing better to do. :p

My name is Nobody, the Nobody Westerns: excellent, humorous ones. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid...classic westerns are my cup of tea.

I hate to admit it, but Soul Plane was funny as i remember it. I was drunk at the time, so i won't tarnish the memory of the movie by watching it again. :(

Matrix 1: The cinder-block face worked in this one, and Morpheus managed to be intriguing. Trinity was ugly...don't even get me started on Trinity. IMHO, the guy who played Cypher was the coolest actor in the movie.

V for Vendetta and the LotR movies: I group them together because of Hugo Weaving and because i'm lazy. Little needs to be said about them...they were excellent. LotR, the director's extended edition, was unbelievable. I watched ALL the special features CDs, some 14 hours or so worth of special effects.

The 40-year old Virgin/Old School/Anchorman/Wedding Crashers: I love this bunch of guys. The Wilson brothers, Vince Vaughn, PAUL RUDD, Will Ferrell and the guy who's name i forget from 40-yr old Virgin. They are hilarious, and their movies are always a pleasure to watch.

    Hate:

Matrix 2&3: Cinder-block expression was useless, the story was shitty, Morpheus was simply BEGGING for my fist in his face, and Trinity got no prettier. All in all, a trainwreck which cost me a lot.

Kill Bill 1 & 2: I hated them. I thought they were a waste of my time. Mindless gore (i never liked that shit, despite my fic) and bullshit martial arts got on my nerves. It came across as a shitty crossover between a Jet-Li/Chow-Yun Fat movie and Rambo, with a female star. Plus, i find Uma Thurman ugly. Also, the idea (i think in KB2) of the monk at the temple is SOOOOO overused in HP that i coudn't help but hate it when i watched it a few months ago.

Michael Moore movies: I read his books avidly, and find them interesting, though i will never take his words to be neccessarily true. The two documentaries of his that i watched that concern Bush both deviated to Flint, Michigan, and what a shithole it is. Fuck Flint...show me what i paid to see. Everyone in the Midwest KNOWS that Flint is a shitty place to be...hell, Bumfuck, Michigan would sound bad to anyone in the States. I'll stick to the books.

The Hulk: I feel that this movie has been THE biggest waste of my money ever. Forget the time that i decided that i wanted to be a skateboarder and spent $100 on a 'deck', then had it get stolen a week later. The 8.50 i paid to watch this was certainly THE biggest loss of money i have ever experienced. I got NOTHING out of it. What a crock of shit this movie was...if you haven't seen it, I ENVY YOU.
