"tae guk gi" is a really great movie. It's up there with Saving Private Ryan. Its a foreign movie (korean). But I have to say it's my favorite war movie.

Agree with 2 & 4. The new P&P was crap. *damns Kiera Knightly* she completely ruined it. I cant seem to stand the monty python films.

Things like Vanilla Sky confused me. But I just remembered the ONE confusing film which I actually understood!

    DONNIE DARKO!!

I think Jake plays a wicked crazy dude. XD 'They Made Me Do It'...twill be my excuse if I kill anyone or whatever. XD

  10. Best:

    Fight Club

Stand By Me (yes, a Stephen King movie that worked!!!!)

Lord of The Rings- Return of the King

    Kingdom of Heaven

    The Thin Red Line

Oh, and I absolutely adore Equilibrium with Christian Bale.

    Worst:

    Sin City (yuck, yuck, yuck)

HP - The Prisoner of Azkaban (no comments)

    Rambo (pick one)

    The Talented Mr. Ripley

    Shakespeare in Love

    I Like:

    The Gladiator
    Serendipity
    Zoolander
Harry Potter and GOF: alright, if you don't take the movie so seriously, and you expect it to be bad, its half decent. I laughed in amusement at the acting more than trying to be funny...but still.
    The Faculty

    I hate, or dislike:

    First 3 HP films
    Scary Movie 3
Any serious Horror movie, excluding Saw.
The Master in disguise: My mom bought this for me, have no reason why, so I had to watch it. I think it was the worst movie I had ever seen.

Lawl. Probably nothing new. But I may as well make a contribution. May contain spoilers.

    Films I like

A Clockwork Orange – Typical Fucked up Kubrick movie. There’s something very wrong about someone who kills and rapes to the sound of Beethoven. Would have had more impact if Kubrick included the final scene from the book.

American Beauty – What can I say about this one. Manages to make you feel incredibly uncomfortable and laugh at the same time. Mendes’ best film to date. Brilliant performance by Spacey too.

American History X - Great Drama about the pointlessness of hate. Norton is so convincing as the Nazi skinhead that it’s almost hard to believe his transformation in the second half of the movie. Furlongs voice pissed me off as always.

Cruel Intentions – Laugh all you want, but I still think this is the ultimate teen movie.

Hero – I have a thing for unrealistic martial arts and hot Chinese girls.

High School High – I just found this hilarious for some reason. Maybe because I saw it when I was drunk.

Last of The Mohicans, The – Straight forward but fun with a great score and cinematics. And Daniel Day Lewis Kicks arse.

Requiem for a Dream – Only film that has ever made me cry. Captivates from the opening cinematic through the streets of New York to the brutal conclusion. Could have been a bit less art-housey.

Reservoir Dogs – Tarantino’s best film. I can’t stand most of his other work.

Scarface – Al Pacino gives a chilling performance as Tony Montana. ‘I kill communists for fun. For a green card, I’ll cut him up real good.’ Despite his heinous acts and ruthlessness, you still view Pacino as misguided rather than evil.

    South Park – Hilarity

Might add more later if I remember anything.

    Honorable Mentions

    Lock Stock
    Casino
    Goodfellas
    Syrianna
    Battle Royale
    Fight Club
    Monty Pythons
    Apoc Now
    Usual Suspects
    Dr Strangelove
    Harold and Kumar
    Indiana Jones
    Seven
    Unbreakable

    + Lots more

I just realized that I’ve never seen the godfather. Don’t ask me how it happened.

    Films I hate

Alexander – 3 hours of painstakingly boring, hero worshipping Bullshit. I still can’t believe Oliver Stone made this.

Kill Bill 1 & 2 – Like some others here, I cannot stand violence and gore for the sake of violence and gore. Tarantino’s ‘Violence is cool mmkay’ mantra really gets to me.

Master and Commander – Stab me to death with a kitchen knife. Now. Please. The most boring film ever made? Possibly.

Mel Gibson ‘historical’ movies – Please Mel, read a history book next time you feel the need to make one. And stop drinking.

Star wars 1 and 2 – No explanation needed

Village, The – Was supposed to be a horror movie, but I spent the whole time laughing. The ending the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen.

War of the Worlds - lawl

    Waterworld – No explanation needed

    + Many More

Films that are considered good/popular but I don’t get

Blade series, Underworld, Van Helsing etc – If Bram stoker was still alive, he’d promptly kill himself upon seeing this junk.

Donnie Darko –A good movie. But I still don’t get it!

Gladiator – Not a bad film by any means. But I didn’t think it was worthy of all the praise and multiple Oscars it received. And the ending was completely illogical.

King Kong – About 1 hour too long.

Lord of the Rings – Shoot me now. Please.

Taxi Driver – Can someone please explain what this is about? I don’t get the whole disillusioned urban thing.

Saving Private Ryan – See gladiator

Shrek movies – Have their moments I guess. But not really my type of humor.
