New movie coming out 09/09/09. It looks goddamn awesome. Animated without a happy-go-lucky feeling they always have? Nice.

But maybe it's just because the song they used in the trailer is just epic. Welcome Home - Coheed and Cambria.

Posting in an epic thread. 8D Shit looks epic. Like... I dunno, a really good RPG or summat. But it's a film so I don't have to sit through a bazillion repetitive, dull battles. :D

That was...just awesome. I dont know how to describe it right, its like Tim Burton got ahold of Terminator and Final Fantasy smashed them together then put his own awesome spin on it.

I fucking hate Coheed and Cambria... but this trailer looks like it may be interesting. I might actually go watch this one.

This looks pretty awesome. It's got more of an epic feel than Burton's movies usually have. It's hard to say how much input he has, given that he's producing and not directing this one.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Burton can do with 'Alice in Wonderland.' Sweeney Todd was a well-done adaptation, but if Alice gets the Willy Wonka treatment it'll be terrible.

Frak that was awesome. Is this a kid's movie or something. I know it probably is but it really doesn't look like it.

Hey! I liked Willy Wonka. But I can't wait for Alice in Wonderland. Johnny Depp is the Mad Hatter and Helena Bonham Carter is the Queen of Hearts. :)

    It looks interesting enough.

Am I the only one who was reminded of the alien ships/harvesting machines from 'War of the Worlds' when they showed snippets of those glowy-eyed robots(?)?

Now that you mention it, yeah... although I kinda wish you didn't bring up the 2-hour crapfest that people call WoW.

Just wanted to say Coheed and Cambria FTW.

On topic, I'll definitely be watching out for this one. Tim Burton never disappoints. :)

I knew I'd seen this before. The movie's an adaptation of a 2005 animated short by Shane Acker. It's about 11 minutes long, and it is on youtube.

Well its out now. One of my friends who is a Tim Burton fanatic went to see it and came back wanting. He told me to wait for DVD; that its 'not worth the money to see it in the theater.'

Anyone here see it yet? I'd like a second opinion. I was so looking forward to seeing it too...

It was really short about an hour and 15 minutes long. There were some nice visuals that make it worth seeing at least once. Along with the fact that some of them were pretty epic. But other than that I would just wait for it to come out on DVD or blu-ray and see it then.

I say it's defiantly worth going to see. To me, it's pretty epic.

I liked it, wasn't as good as I thought it would be though. The ending was really good in my opinion though

Everything with Crispin Glover (since Back to the Future) is doomed to fail - no matter how small his role is.

That being said, I'll be checking it out tomorrow.

I liked it. It wasn't the most awesome thing ever, but it was entertaining and interesting. I liked the way the little people used their environment, and the voice acting was top notch. The story was kind of brief, but it was good. Worth seeing, but maybe wait until it's showing at the three dollar theater or on rental.
