    Actually I disagree. If we look at JK's interview comments vs what actually happened you'd see that this may not happen:

    JKR: "We find something big about Lily in HBP"
    HBP: We find out she's in Gryffindor and good at potions. :shock: Shock horror.

    JKR: "You learn something big about Harry's parents in OotP"
    OotP: We find out James hated Snape and that Lily was a goody-goody prefect :roll:

    There are other examples but I can't remember them off the top of my head.

    I doubt it'll be anything as big as Lily being a pureblood. The biggest thing it'll be is "those with brilliant green eyes possess love beyond measure" - if that.

    I have a weird feeling that Harry going to Godric's Hollow was originally planned for the sixth book... its says hes going back to where it all started because he'll probably find something there... probably important things about his parents.
