No losing a dragon to a magic ballistae shot or spear.

Probably Euron will steal one and Jon and Dany will ride a dragon each. Then some moment where Jon must sacrifice Dany or vice versa, because Azor Azai and the Nissa Nissa prophecy.

When Arya asks what's West of Westeros the Script literally says that Jon and Sansa dont know, they both failed geography.

 

I mean, I know we've all joked a lot about it just being Essos, but people used to think that Asia was east west of Europe. Both technically correct, but there could very well be an 'Americas' analogue somewhere between Westeros and Essos.

I get that we will never get the books, but it's just amusing how hard Martin is searching for excuses to not work on them.

 

I don't know why he still gives a shit. He's made all the money in the world. Just announce you're done writing them, release a summary of the rest of the story to give some closure and fuck off into retirement.

 

He wants to finish his biggest work that's probably will be read hundred years from now. Problem is that he needs help, but he's not going to ask for it because he wants it to be done by him alone.

 

Yeah but he's not gonna finish it. And he knows it. If he was gonna finish, he'd have done it already.

 

What is frustrating is I would bet WoW is about... 85-95% done, he has written it for years, posted chapters, apparently did a fair bit in 2020. I would bet it just need polish and like 3 chapters, but those chapters would be critical and ones that tie many plot points together and thus are challenging.

I have hope we see WoW given its nature. But we will never see AHFS.

 

That was my bet way back in 2019 when he joked he will have it by summer 2020. That sounded like almost done in my opinion. Now, after all his comments about many chapters he did in 2020? I would say he's 50-60% done.

 

Knowing him, upon releasing WoW he'd announce that he's now realized he needs another book in the series before he can get to AHFS.

 

I think that is actually a big part of the reason WoW is so delayed.

There is so much that needs to happen in two books. I am not sure it can happen in two books. Even if both are 800 pages +.
