That scene was so awesome, but I don't know if they can replicate what happened on-screen, considering... Well they'll have to obscure it somehow, but it would be crazy cool to see it in full.

 

I'm surprised that no one had mentioned the odd choice of a black guy to play pale Qartheen Xaro. I wonder if all of the Qartheens will be depicted as such. I dunno why they didn't just go for an Asian...that's how I'd always pictured them :S

Agreed. I always saw them (especially the upper class Quartheens) as similar to Xerxes from 300, except well...more pale.

On the subject of Black Xaro, I have one word: Whatfuckingever. The actor's pretty good - saw him in Outcasts - and to adopt a term from Winter Is Coming.Net, In Nina Gold (Casting director) We Trust.

About Alton Lannister: No idea. It's thought he might be taking Cleos Frey's role (To avoid overly complicated explanations about Freys working both with and against Robb?), or just another Lannister captive with Jaime in season two as part of that expanded storyline. Or just a renamed other Lannister somewhere along the way, or whatever.

As for Asha's name change: Roll with it. Already done. Can't change it by complaining. I'm cool with it, though in my mind she's now Ashayara, which makes me think Ashaya, which completely lulzifies the mental image of Asha.

As for the hotness of Melisandre's actress and the "scene", I will note that the casting call made sure to point out that the role included nudity. So... can't wait.

See? Three months of news in one post. In short, roll with it. As far as book to TV show conversions go, at least GoT isn't the Dresden Files.

No season two trailer yet, but a "in production" video was released, with glimpses of most of the new characters, some new locations and stuff, and it's just two minutes of teasing.
