Does anyone here have any plans to start their own HP/ASOIAF crossover? I have a good idea for one, but absolutely no writing experience or skills.

Vir, it doesn't have to be the only fish in the sea. If someone has a good idea and thinks they could proficiently write it, then they should write it. If there was more than one source of awesome HP/ASOIAF, we wouldn't all be clammering to suck from Cxjenius literary teat. I'm sure they get sore after awhile.

 

He asked for a fic from a DLP member. I provided the most popular one written by a DLP member matching the requested criteria. Beyond that I have no idea what the hell you're trying to tell me. I think you're trying to berate me for recommending PwwP, so I'll go with that.

The original questions seemed like it was looking for something totally new or something that had not been written yet. Your response was derisive and acted like he was an idiot for not going "Prince who was Promised? OH this is all the HP/ASoIF I could ever need or want" or for not have even read it at all.

Vir, the fandom sucks. There's one good story, that being Cxjenius'. Considering it's been talked about to death in this thread, the WbA thread, and the Library thread, I don't think anyone from this forum hadn't a passing idea of the story. So it was to my understanding that Organ was asking if anyone else had intentions to write a story.

I admit, I tried to make my response funny, and didn't come off as coherent. But it was not my intention to berate your choice of recommending that fic. I just don't want to see this devolve into "when's it updating?" and "Harry should fuck x, y, and z." like all other mentions have turned into.

TL;DR: tried to be funny, didn't mean offence. Any plotbunnies or intentions for new fics?

HP/ASOIAF? Not really. I've been considering a Skyrim/ASOIAF story based off some notes for an RPG I was running, or just a modified version of it with pure ASOIAF story materials.

 

I haven't seen this on here. Another Jon Snow travels down to help out Robb in the war story. Nothing amazing. But a decent read.

Really? Been reading this one since chapter 4. It's one of the better fics in the fandom, though Sansa's intelligence is a bit too off for me to connect her with the Sansa from the books.

 

Kudos for the fic. It's quite good; I like it.

 

Just read, "As the Queen Commands." Kudos indeed, very nice fic, and I'm sad to hear that there's only two chapters left.

There's half brother/cousin incest, (with the pairing being Jon/Robb,) a fuckton of angst, crying, and hurt comfortness. Jon and Robb are both significantly feminized and pussified in this fic.

The prose, however, is top notch and plot interesting. Their developing relationship -despite the OCCness of the characters- is realistically depicted and there's a significant amount of tension from society vs Jon/Robb and Catelyn vs Jon.

It takes a bit to get into, especially for a straight guy like me.

Obviously not for everyone. I started reading this fic randomly on a whim after exhausting pretty much the entire fandom of quality fanfiction and was really surprised, finishing it in 2 sittings.

 

No thanks, lost me at "What if Robb told him-".
But I suppose some might like it if it's written well? Note the question mark.

 

A Better Fate was updated...sigh, was waiting so long only to be disappointed.

 

People complain about all the rampant SanSan and Jaime/Brienne fics, but really I don't find either of those so offensive compared to this growing and senseless infestation of Jon/Robb slash.

 

I was actually kind of enjoying this (it was way too heavy on random angst but I thought it was pretty well written) but the final chapter just went totally weird. I have no idea what the author is doing with Renly's character, and it's been a year since the last update so I'm guessing it's dead and I won't find out.

 

Better Fate Update. Much better than the last few, actually found myself enjoying this, something I wasn't really expecting after last week. A return to its previous form anyway.
