I always wondered how Jon would have reacted to Robb marrying Jeyne Westerling.

 

Possibly cheering him on. Considering how anal he is about being a bastard himself I can't see him being that supportive of Robb risking getting one on Jeyne.

Having read the two new chapters of Knight's watch I'm starting to regret suggesting it. Jon comes across as such a pussy.

 

Well, in His Fire Jon left before saying his vows to Night Watch and became trusted commander for Robb. If I remember correctly, he advised to send Roose Bolton with Theon to convince Balon (so the Iron Isles did not attack North) and led Northerners to Westerlands to win Robb´s canon battles against Lannisters there.

The shipping is strong in that one. I barely made it through chapter 3 and dropped it at chapter 4's first line:

I think the author wanted to write one of those High School-setting fic but got cold feet and chickened out, writing instead a more 'traditional'-setting ASoIaF story.

You are right but it is the only fic I know about where Jon has an actual impact on War of Five Kings while being by Robb´s side.

 

"His Fire"... didn't the same guy write "Her Everything"? You really shouldn't be surprised at the amount of shipping then, Himuradono. He has a thing for Jon/Daenerys.

 

In hindsight the author's name should've been a clue...:facepalm

 

You people said A Knight's Watch was shaping up to be Jon/Sansa, well that's another fic lost tp that infernal pairing. I shall not be reading it then. I can not stand that pairing.

 

Most of those kinds of fics are just downright horrible, sometimes even more than the pedo pairings, like San/San or Petyr/Sansa or Jaime/Sansa, Roose/Sansa or... fuck, I bet Victarion is the only one whom they haven't paired off to her.

I found only 2 or 3 palatable fics where it was mostly about the Jon/Sansa pairing.

I always kind of assumed that Jon would take one for the team, and marry Jeyne Westerling. Robb trying to get the Freys to be happy with Jon marrying Roslin wouldn't... work out, very well.

 

So Jon marries Jeyne, Rob marries Roslin... and we have Game of Thrones: Swingers Edition.

 

Gah, there is enough stories where Rob and Jon share womens, please, no more

I've been waiting for a fic where Jon is able to respond to Ramsay's letter and marches south with his wildling army. I wonder how the Northern bannermen would react if they saw a bastardized Stark banner and Jon leading from the front with Ghost at his side.

 

There was one story I liked (but can't remember the name of, I think it was recced in here) where Robb wins the war, and marries Roslin. He keeps Jeyne nearby in Winterfell, as his mistresses. Fathers a bunch of bastards, etc.

Jon, as Lord Commander, falls in love with Roslin and in turn fathers a bunch of bastards with her, but they pass them off as Robb's. Robb knows, but doesn't do anything about it. Shit hits the fan after Jon dies on a ranging.

 

That sounds like a shitty soap opera.

I didn't mind it, I think I found Catelyn's reactions or non-reactions the best bit but it's more or less shipping with angst, better written than most of its kind though.
