The earlier parts are definitely weaker, as it's kind of set up stuff and Jon hanging out with the Starks/a bit too much love triangle. It definitely gets better by several magnitudes once the war kicks off.

Honestly my biggest complaint would probably be that at times it feels very similar to A Knights Watch. Like when anything Jon/Sansa is happening, Jon's friendship with Willem (but he was such an awesome character in AKW I don't mind so much) and quite a few other scenes. And there are a few times when the characters do really stupid stuff, but it's generally in character.

 

I found Our Choices to be much better than Knight's Watch which got way to angsty for me. That being said I think he/she is one of the better writers for ASOIAF I just really dislike certain aspects that ought to be better (especially the romance, and the omg Sansa is the best)

The thing is, I liked Sansa in AKW. I liked where she was in her headspace when Jon showed up. I got used to the angst, for the most part. Sometimes the pussiness was a little too much, but I pushed through because I liked Sansa, Jon, and company. The early book Sansa in the other story, I can't stand. I'm far more partial to Dany. I hate the characterization of Rhaenys as well, from the little I read.

 

I like Our Choices Seal Our Fate too, I'm just sick of Jon/Sansa. It came out of nowhere and it seems to be his most popular pairing.

 

The end of the last chapter was at least pretty awesome, even if that final line just screamed obnoxious fan-service. We get it, it's totally hardcore and gritty just like canon, we've all read the books.

 

And I'll continue asking, any good new stories that don't include Sansa as a main character?

After reading a great Jaime/Lyanna one shot s few months ago I'm a fan so I hope the author decides to betroth them. It'd be a nice change from canon.

They're "good" in that the spelling/grammar are of good quality. Otherwise, meh. It's smut and fluff. And it's a threesome. If you're into those, you'll enjoy it.

I'm with Hugplx, insofar as Tamriel and Westeros existing in parallel wouldn't work terribly well (especially if you get into the screwy-as-shit metaphysics of Elder Scrolls cosmology).

That said, I see a lot of potential in making Westeros into an expy of Tamriel, if that makes any sense (or put another way, applying Elder Scrolls 'rules' to Westeros). For example, you could have the White Walkers and the return of magic to Westeros be a symptom of Alduin's return, Robert achieved CHIM during his rebellion and it's how he became King, or worshipers of the old gods performed a ritual mass suicide that was the thing to originally suppress magic, etc. There's a lot of really interesting stuff that could be played with, and I can see a lot of potential for stories by someone who knows the universe better than I.

 

I dunno, I kind of like the idea of that crazy Daedric Prince turning the Dragonborn into one of Dany's dragons.

Can't you turn into a Dragon in one of the DLCs? Or is that controlling them? I don't remember.

 

I've come across a Halo/ASOIAF crossover on SB, wherein Master Chief crashlands to Westeros, but I didn't bother looking too much into it, since Halo isn't my thing.

I've read that. It's a decent time waster if nothing else. The premise is interesting enough but I fear a John!Stu, Go!Starks and Evil!Lannisters cliche.
